Some of the salesman here (named below) are at least one of the following: dishonest, unprofessional, and/or incompetent. I was told that a car on their lot was available, so I drove over 30 minutes to their dealership and talked for almost the same amount of time to Chris T. about that specific car. When we sat down to talk business and he learned that I had a trade-in, he suddenly changed his tune and told me that the car was sold yesterday. There was something really shady about the exchange, and I did not believe him. When I called back and emailed (without giving my name) a few hours later, and I spoke with the "business manager" (Johnny B.) who should, of all people, know what cars are available or not, I was told the same car was available (Quote: "I can assure you [this car] is still available. When did you want to come in and go over your options?" and later: "our system shows absolutely no pending deals or deposits"). When I called their bluff to Johnny B., he said, "Ill get to the bottom of this and figure out what is going on with this car. Ill call you back in a few minutes." I waited a few days and never heard from him, either by phone or email, so I reached out again and he finally responded--after he had a chance to confer with Chris T. on the supposed confusion to save face, I imagine. Chris T. claimed that Johnny B, the companys "business manager," "doesnt know what hes talking about." Then when asked why there was no "sold" sign on the car, Chris T. claimed that the dealership doesnt want to bother putting sold signs on the cars, which makes no sense (!) and further just gets customers interested to hopefully bait and switch on them, I guess. As of right now, nearly a week later, the car is still both listed as for sale on the lot as well as listed as "available" online, and I bet if I reached out again I would get the same email: "Yes, this car is still available. When did you want to come in and go over your options?" I personally would not trust these guys. At least try getting two salesman (and least these two) to tell you the same, consistent story. If two people who work at the same company (likely in the same office) cant figure out if a car has been sold or not over the course of a few minutes let alone a few days, or even if their computer system is that incompetent, I wouldnt deal with them, and I advise you not to either. Also, you should check recent similar negative reviews online as well as BBB complaints.

I bought my car in February, I got a great price! I had some problems with paint peeling (even though I was assured there was no work done to the car ever) so I had to go through a long process to get it fixed. It took months but after the old sales manager left and Lance took over- it only took about a week to get it all squared away. Some other things to consider before purchasing here: make sure to ask how your credit will be run bc I got 4 hard inquiries for the one loan that took about 25 minutes total. Another thing is the office isnt great at getting back to customers after they leave messages, although it has improved since Lance took over. The financial women (Carol?) is nice but does not disclose everything to the customer. I bought a car and had 4 HARD inquiries on my credit report from this dealership. I was very hesitant to sign until I knew I wanted the car because I didnt want my report run too many times. I called and left 2 messages asking her about this with NO response! I called again today and she said she "thought I knew" and that is what they usually do. I have bought 3 other cars from dealerships with my credit only run once each time. She never told me! I highly recommend asking her before signing anything!!!! Or better yet, go somewhere else (youll be great full you did)! Good luck!

Put in an application for a loan on a compass through chase and got approved for great deal and apr through a customer satisfaction program chase has...in the mix of looking for a vehicle I was asked the next day if I wanted to look at a compass in leominster...I agreed thinking the car I applied for, through chase, was allready sold as I heard nothing about the loan I put in....they started a new loan application in the new location, which was taking a while. While waiting a few days I called chase and a representitive told me that it was in fact the same car and my old loan wasnt valid becuase they moved it to a location that wasnt affiliated with chases smart program. Representive at chase told me it was a tactic to avoid chases "smart deals" in order to get the most out of the car. I was already aproved for the loan and they put a new one in at a much higher apr. All they had to do was transfer the car back over to marlboro(where it originated) in order for me to drive off the lot the first day with a lower apr and better price. Or better yet kept the car in marlboro were it was advertised. They acted ignorant to this through the entire purchase process of the vehicle. I find it hard to believe that they didnt know about the initial approval of the loan. Dont buy from these guys...they are dishonest.

I purchased a car here and the service was absolutely awful. In my sales agreement it stated that the car would be detailed inside and out, the wheels would be refinished, and the tires would be replaced with the ones of my chosing, prior to picking up the car. I live 2 hours away and before making the trip, I called my sales guy Chris to make sure everything was done. He reassured me that everything is all set and the car was looking great. I drove down 2 hours to pick up the car and I come to find that nothing was done. After numerous phone calls to the general manager I was finally told that I would have to come back to get everything done. I come down for a second time for an 8am appointment and I find that the tires I requested are not here and they ordered a much cheaper tire. They tried convincing me that they are the same but obviously they were not. Out of complete frustration I just agreed to the infirior tires because I just didnt have the time to come back for a 3rd 2 hour trip to the dealership. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. The salesmen just want to make as much money off of you as possible. They promise all these things to get you to buy the car and once you pay them they could care less about you. Stay away !!!!!!

Tell me why it took 2 years for them to get me my GAP Insurance Reimbursement and every time I try to call and talk to someone they arent at their desks or arent in ... does anyone work there? Clearly not. For such a large amount of money, you think they would give me some kind of of tracking number. Good thing I have a lawyer for my case. I cancelled my GAP insurance 2 months after buying the car from them (first time buyer, didnt know when you refinanced your loan you loose your GAP) that was October 21, 2014.... we are now in 2017. I got into a horrible car accident and my car was deemed a total loss. Thats when I found out my GAP insurance was cancelled and I never received my reimbursement. My lawyer contacted AutoMax in November 2016 and I still to his day do not have my reimbursement. VERY DISSAPPOINTED. I was very understand at first but now Im getting very agitated.
