Oh my! Where to start? The prices are good but not to the level many others hype it up to be. Lately, Stop & Shop has been having more and more items that they beat MB on price on and you cant forget that S&Ss instant savings and bonus gas point deals beat MB sale prices by far even if you just fill up one car with 12 gallons (but its all the better if you can fill up multiple cars and go to the 35 gal limit on your transaction. Why? First of all, there are frequent enough stocking issues which makes you buy a substitute product or go somewhere else to buy what you need. The store brand does not cater to someone that wants to shop healthy. For example, if you want a wheat cracker without soy in it (soy slows your thyroid down and reduces energy), be prepared to pay $3.49 for a 8 oz box b/c you have to buy the national brand; at Stop & Shop across the street they do have a store brand going for $2.39 for 7 oz. Sure, there is raw store brand nuts as well but pricing is rather high vs Trader Joes. Service here can be troublesome at times. I came in with a good stack of coupons once to have em all rejected, and Stop and Shop accepted all coupons, and the calculated total was actually less than what I would have paid at Market Basket thanks to double coupons. Checkout lines can make this store tough to shop at as well.

Great prices. Greater service. If I even looked like I didnt know where an item was, an employee would ask if I needed help finding something and then take me to the item, not just tell me which aisle. Extraordinarily pro-active. Cashiers are also very friendly. And I find this to be the case in every Market Basket Ive shopped in, which is 6 so far. Cant recommend them highly enough.

Prices have increased and are not really what others hype it up to be especially now that Stop & Shop has actually reduced prices and now you have Wegmans 15 minutes down the highway. Forget about shopping here on a weekend, holiday, or before a snowstorm because the service leaves something to be desired.

Cant beat the prices in this area - and Ive shopped around! After shopping at a butcher shop for years, trying to save money, tried their meat dept and have not been disappointed yet! The fruit looks great but during the off season, usually lacks flavor. Overall, great prices and a good selection.

Literally just stood in front of the market kitchen and was ignored by 7 people and had 3 other people walk up and get served while I stood by waiting. I really do like this store as weve deemed it our family store. Ill chalk this up to one bad experience, hope for better service next time

This is one of my favorite MBs. Although I like the NH ones for the no-taxes, this one is good because it actually has a decent produce section and just today there was a kid offering to walk me out to my car with an umbrella for protection from the rain. Great deli section, too.

nice and new remodled...only issue I wont special order from bakery again messed up my daughters Birthday cupcakes was to be ELMO got Hello Kitty and her cake I did not see until I got home they forgot the r in her name,,,,,,

Their produce can be lacking at times. Never go on a Sunday afternoon as they run out of things and are in the slow slow process of restocking things. Their bakery and hot bar has gotten a lot better from the past.

Restock in the middle of the week. Id avoid going towards the end of the week (Friday-Monday). This is the Market Basket to go to, and probably the Grocery store to go to, if youre in the Lowell/Chelmsford area.
