We have been faithful customers at Idylwilde for 18 years. Superb produce, wonderful deli, extravagant cheeses, syrups. oils, baked goods, plants, sweets, annual and perennials. The management is always available for questions or to place an order for a party being planned. We do not find the prices daunting as we will always pay the price for top quality items. Over the years, we have been instrumental in bringing twenty-four friends to Idylwide who have become true and devoted fans. The number has grown from 24 as they introduced others to the joys of shopping at Idylwide. Congratulations! July 26th, 2008

Great selection hampered by odd hours and poor store layout. The entrance & exit are always densely populated, making for constant stop-start movement, and this could be solved by a second doorway. Aisles are too thin for the volume of customers and the patrons tend to be oblivious and a bit rude. Pricing is good for local, seasonal products, but imports and out-of-season produce are a hair pricey. Go when they arent busy.

They tell me I got a job when i went in after a few interviews and after 2 or 3 months of me calling and going in to talk to this lady thats the hiring manager to see when i would start working she always put me off saying we will call you when we need you.. and finally after a while she finally says "were not hiring for another half year"

The food is great, and they have a great selection of produce year round. However the prices are kind of high. But you get what you pay for here as I have never gotten or seen bad produce even when its not in season. They also have bacon that you can get sliced at the counter (Super Thick) and the bakery/sandwich counter is pretty good to.

It has local farm setup and everything, I am not sure if they actually have anything produced by Idylwilde farms. They have stuff from all over the country just any other grocery store. In my opinion, it is overpriced. The best thing I like there is the freshly squeezed orange juice bottled on the premise (I think, it used to be..)

Year-round farmers market, summertime nursery, and the local place to find healthy, happy indoor plants, in addition to baskets, plant pots, craft beers, wine, cheese, a small bakery & a deli! Everything in always fresh, though not always local, but in New England in February, suddenly "local" isnt so important.

Lots of good either specialty / delicacy/ health foods. Pre-made things like egg salad or regular salads for a meal, lots of cool beverages. Bakery, brews, oh and the best part a huge cheese section encircling the deli. Price seems appropriate / or a bargain depending on the item

I love this place such a wide variety of fruits and vegetables that are so fresh, awesome wine and cheeses along with two delis . You can find organic meats and vegetables, fruits along with dairy items. The fresh bread and pastries are amazing.

Array of flowers and plants? Check. Expensive cheeses and attractive produce? Check. Smell of warm donuts? Check. Oh, also, a reliable source of Serrano and ibérico ham, as well as good chorizo. Makes whole foods look amateurish.

We buy 90% of our groceries at Market Basket, but always shop produce here - excellent selection, though high prices. Quality of produce is always 100x better than MB, so we dont think twice. Great spot for fresh flowers too!
