I love this store, and have come close to missing flights out of Logan Airport because I find myself unable to tear myself away from it on the way into the Kendall Square T Station. "Introduction to Algorithms" by CLR is one of the most important books on my bookshelf. And they have a very cool, minimalist t-shirt too. I hope this place never goes out of business.
Really magical place - a little pricey if you want to buy things but I go more for the atmosphere and the browsing and the very cozy poetry room upstairs can you believe, an entire room dedicated only to poetry? amazing. a little crowded/busy for a bookstore, at least when I went summer weekday afternoon?, but I wouldnt knock it just because people like it.
Not just MIT Press books -- though of course it carries all of those. Also good selections in areas of interest to nerds (and I mean that in a good way) and to architects with a somewhat theoretical bent. A fun place to browse.
Fun bookstore if youre looking for random, academic books. Theyre not all textbooks or treatise, theyre plenty of books accessible to anyone. All the books are incredibly well-designed; they look and feel great in your hands.
Love that they have magazines to read, and a great atmosphere! I really enjoyed stopping here for an ice tea on a hot Saturday.
Good selection of books, with a focus on technology, social sciences, design and cultural studies. Friendly, helpful staff.
I cant even walk past this bookstore without spending $50+ dollars and 2+ hours of my time. Well done, MIT, you win.
This is one of my favorite campus bookstores. I always find something unexpected and amazing
Not the type of bookstore that has MIT swag/item for tourists, just had books
