The staff here at this Star Market are exceptionally helpful and personable. Ive lived here since September of 2016 and within 2 months I knew at least 15 people there by name and face. They were all absolutely wonderful individually and helping me out with all sorts of different issues. The place is enormous and well stop the best variety Ive seen with rock bottom prices of all sorts of incredibly unusual specialist stuff from all over the world. It is the most amazing supermarket near in the city of Boston. People from every single Department and including the store manager mr. Cusack have bent over backwards to help me with all sorts of different things. The store also contains an independent wine shop with great prices on all sorts of alcohol which sells cigarettes as well. The whole place is an absolute treasure it has the feeling of a corner shop and the convenience and selection of a massive Supermarket but it absolutely seals friendly and wonderful. I feel very lucky to live next door. And seeing as I dont feel like moving ever they are stuck with me.

The veggies and all that are really moldy. They put moldy tomatoes on sale. The fruit and veggies that are on sale are generally moldy and if one isnt you can bet that a nother one is. So much mold I will not buy any fruits and veggies. This is essentially a really large convenience store with a liquor store attached. And there is a Starbucks there too.

Good selection, but thats about all thats good about this location. the staff seem miserable. I saw the manager treating one of their employees with special needs horribly because he didnt want to clean up human fecal matter from the lobby, hes sweet and she bullied him and threatened his job. Also the restrooms are almost always filthy

Below average staff. Higher prices then its competitors. This was once the better supermarket in the area but over the years has become so non-caring that an air of malaise permeates the whole shopping experience. Be careful of product freshness. Commercial baked goods tend to get moldy very quickly after purchase.

While being slightly more expensive than Stop & Shop, Star Market has some advantages. Theyre accessible by the Hubway (having a stop just outside their front door) and have an amazing clearance rack. Very cheap! Otherwise, can be hit or miss in terms of cost. Kinda feels like a warehouse discount store.

Lousy selection, particularly in the produce section, and never enough checkout lanes open (this was far less of an issue before they tore out the self-checkout lanes - dumbest move possible). Theyre currently remodeling so who knows if thatll actually improve things or not.

Great since the grand re-opening. Other reviews about items being re-organized frequently are totally accurate, but this problem has more or less stopped since the construction was finished. Organic veggie selection recently expanded.

This is one of the cleaner Star Markets around. It is not as big as the Shaws on Morrissey boulevard but it feels bigger due to less people broke being there. The prepared food is well organized and is an affordable change to the area.

No grocery workers no baggers and the frozen veggies section was empty on alot of spots pasta was empty on some sections plus the waist watchers root beer and ginger ale wasnt well stocked and other sodas too
