Great little Middle Eastern grocery. Lots of vegetables at good prices... usually multiple options for tomatoes, eggplant, summer squash, etc. Big selection of spices, dried and canned goods, cheeses, picked vegetables, grains, bulgur, preserves, filo dough, bastirma, .... Customers are mostly Armenian, Greek, Turkish, Arab, Persian. Lots of brands of authentic yogurt and strained yogurt (aka Greek yogurt, labneh). Good variety of extra virgin olive oils from Greece and Lebanon.

Fantastic. I was in from out of town and wanted to drop by to get sumac and Aleppo pepper - both hard to find anywhere. They had it in spades, and I was very impressed by the rest of the store. Excellent selection, great produce, fantastic prepared foods. Would be nice if they had hot coffee but you cant ask for everything - I guess Ill have to nurse my sadness with baklava.

Arax is a small Armenian grocery store located in the Armenian community of Watertown, MA. In addition to the obvious Armenian products, it also has lots of Turkish, Greek, and Arabic products. If youre looking for eastern Mediterranean cheeses, nuts, fruit, fresh prepared salads, candies, baklava and other sweets, and much more, this is the place to go.

Of the Armenian markets in Watertown, of which there are many, Arax is the best for all around shopping for products from the Near East. Whether its their prepared foods (spicy hummus and kibbee are amazing) or the fixings to make things yourself (they always have mint for my tabouli, no matter the season), Arax has what youre looking for.

Excellent little Middle Eastern store. Lots of good fresh vegetables (often 4-5 varieties of eggplant!), plenty of staples (bulgur, yogurt, spices, olive oil), pickled foods (olives, radishes, stuffed eggplant, ...). Good pita bread and especially Afghan bread, but other baked goods not quite as fresh as the nearby Sevan.

Amazing selection of middle eastern spices/produce. They even have some stuff that appears to be made in house. There are massive olive bins... probably 30+ gallons. Pleasant Staff, fond memories. Will be frequenting often (I hope).

I love buying spices, imported chocolate, with pistachios, and tarama here. They also have more hard-to-find produce like quince, loquats, green almonds, etc. It can get quite busy inside.
