It looks and acts very unassuming, but this is a wonderful little market that mixes basic groceries with some very high-end items, brings in produce from Russos in Watertown, and has THE VERY BEST BUTCHER/MEAT DEPT I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Word is that this used to be the same butcher that Julia Child frequented when she lived in Cambridge. Whether that is true or not, it is the BEST MEAT I have EVER had. amazingly good! Also, the owner and staff really treat me and my child well and makes us feel like family. It is a joy to go here.

I just love this market... the people are so helpful and although it might cost a little more everything is so fresh. The bread is top notch and always fresh. They have a wide variety of salads and barbecued chicken is so delicious.Forgot to mention the meat and the old fashioned butchers. The best meat anywhere. You will be pleased with quality.

Theres no place like Fresh Pond Market....if it ever leaves the neighborhood...Ill go to! Small but has every single thing you could want and a butcher shop you cant find anywhere. Helpful, courteous and friendly. I wouldnt shop anywhere else.
