I am not the type to write a bad review but Id like other future customers to be aware of the dissatisfaction of my experience. Yesterday, I drove up to Braintree with my husband and 1.5 old son to hopefully pick out a dog for him. When we arrived there were only a handful of people as it was a Monday. We saw 2 dogs we were very interested in and my husband asked the associate if we could see them and we were told that she would put us in a bay in just a few minutes. A few minutes turned into 35. There were 3 bays, and 2 had just become occupied. This wasnt a problem until 10 minutes in we realized that the people occupying the bays were friends of the associate and just there to hang out, chat with her and play with the puppies. Moments later a male associate came out to the floor to help other customers and we noticed he was going to let them use the open bay and see the dog we had already requested. When my husband brought this to his attention he was very disconcerned and just brushed us aside. By the time we had waited 35 minutes we picked up our son and left the$1600 dog we were interested in purchasing. I couldnt believe the way the associates pushed to the side actual buying customers to chat with their friends and ignore all other customers walking in. There was no one to greet us when we walked in, or anyone to talk to that we didnt feel like we were "bothering". I will now know never to give your company or this location mine or my familys money. You need to update your associates on proper customer service.

I dont aprove of the puppies living situation at Pet Express in the Braintree Mall. I asked an employee about the puppies health and excersize regiment and she had a huge attitude with me. Well, sorry, not sorry that I care about these animals and their health. So she basically said the only times the puppies are out of their glass box was when they were being played with and when their cages were being cleaned and they played in the back. But what really made really me sad was a golden retriever puppy in one of the cubes that looked older and much larger than the rest, and he or she was to big for that space. And that puppy will just get bigger and bigger and, unless he or she is purchased soon, and will be way to big for that area and most likely have to deal with it. I would probably love this place if it was at a different location with a large area for the puppies to play in inside and out. It would be great if these animals didnt have to abide in a glass rectangle but in a spacious area were they would not be to big for their box. I know this place is a great attraction in the mall and that parents and kids love it, but it would be a thousand times better in its own building with an ample amount of play space. And aninal lovers, people like me would love it. Please take this review into consideration. Thanks.

I purchased a dog March of 2014. After doing research I unfortunately did find that my dog came from a puppy mill. At that point the damage was already done. Next thing . . . When taken to the vet he had kennel cough and an ear infection. He also had some worms that they said was genetic. Fine I took care of that, hes a happy healthy boy. When I purchased him I signed up for a financing they strongly offered. BAD IDEA. Whatever you do, DO NOT finance any pets. They use Wags who then sells the loan to Monterey Financial. This is all a scam. When I purchased my dog he was sold to me with some supplies at roughly 1,800. It is now 05/02/2016 and I have paid 3,346.73. I was told it would be 12 payments of 128.00. Not the case. Pet Express does not tell you that their finance provider is very deceiving and instead of financing "leases" the dogs. If you dont pay they will repossess the pet as if it is an automobile! You have to pay a lump sum to "buy the lease" after already paying double of what was agreed upon. This place is inhumane and money hungry. Taking advantage of innocent people looking for companions. Please stay away. Please!

I bought a Havanese puppy from the store! She is a pure bred, 3 pounds and 3 months old! She was very expensive but the workers assured me that she was healthy and has never had any problems! They said the vet comes in to check on the dogs every Thursday.. I brought her home on a Monday and the next day, she had yellow discharge coming from her eye! She couldnt even really open it. Took her to the vet the next day to tell me she had an eye infection (conjunctivitis). She is being treated now, but either the pet store lied about her being healthy or the store obviously isnt very clean... as the puppy would have caught the infections from other dogs or bacteria. She is very cute and I love her though!! Glad I got her

Would give this place 0 stars if it was possible. Very rude employees. They care more about flirting with customers and money than the dogs that are forced to live here. Tried to look at a puppy and was given an attitude by the employee because I interrupted their flirting. Puppies are kept in tiny crates on newspaper, and there arent any other options for the puppies to sleep on besides that newspaper which half of them eat because they are mouthy puppies. Very rude, unprofessional. I would never buy a puppy from a pet store at the mall. Spend your time, love, and money by adopting or going to a breeder.

I feel so bad for these poor dogs. They are in cubes with nothing but newspaper to lay on. No chew toy of any kind. The store was so hot I had to leave. Many of the puppies were panting and trying to get water out of the bottle spout. That is not a good environment for these dogs. I absolutely love animals and periodically I will come into this store to admire them but this is the second time Ive come in to a very hot store and there are no associates to be found other than the play areas most of the time. Im so disgusted by the treatment and conditions that these dogs are put in.

I bought my Maltese Peanut here and they were extremely helpful in telling me what I needed to get and what I should do. We brought him to our own vet and they said he was very healthy, it has been just over a year now, I certainly didnt have an experience like these other reviews. Btw I would never do the financing, they explained it to me and the interest rate is astronomical, they urged me not to finance it through them and I can definitely see why!

Bought a pup, great customer service, very understanding people. Something I found odd in these times, the sales associates actually listened to me and answered my questions BRAVO TEAM PET EXPRESS. For the peta posse store was immaculate every dog was clean an happy as was every cage clean. Sorry I just call it like I see it.
