I have to disagree with the previous posts. Ive been a customer at Suffolk Jewelers for about 7yrs. Every time i step foot in the pawn shop i always get greeted as soon as i walk in. Is a great feeling to walk in to a place and be treated with respect. The customer service is incredible, because everybody that works at Suffolk enjoys making sure their customer get the help they need. I remember when there was a time i thought i lost my jewelry because i was over the maturity date. I went to Suffolk to get information on my items. I was scared that they got foreclosed on because i hadnt paid in 4 months. The gentleman that helped me made my day! He told me I still had a 2 month grace period before they make any decisions about my items. Thats when i realized that Suffolk does work with their customers. There are others places that would have foreclosed on my items without any remorse. Since that day i never looked to conduct any business at another pawn shop again. I get treated with the respect i deserve at Suffolk.

I been a customer for 30yr all they do is cheet u I was try ing to spend 830 les pay the taxes on it they would not let me go for 20 dollars day was that hide up for money with all the 1000 day made of of me they dont want to give you the problem money for your gold but so quick to not give you a deal thats why I will never give them my business again I will go to Empire they try to work with you can give you the best they can give you for your gold that guy has got rich off the black Puerto Rican community to be so cheap over 20 dollars you let me walk out not spending the 830 dollars I wanted to spend 420 dollars this is comfit so to anybody who knows me please dont give them your business go to Empire trust me they will look out for you not just trying to rip you off please please please give your bisness to Empire loan if anybody knows me you know I keep it real confit

If I could give negative stars I would. Scammers pretending to be experts. Claim to know jewelry and low-balled me on a price when I was selling a ring. Then tried to act like experts. I had the certifications stating the color, carats and clarity. He says, "what about the inclusions?" I said I thought that was clarity and he says clarity is color. Then he saw the color listed and said theyre the same thing. Ha! Called S I 3 clarity S 13. The worst of all is when he pulled out a Rapaport Report on diamond prices and cant read it, he tries to tell me the diamond I have is only worth $80 when his report is saying 800. According to them a 2ct Vvs2 diamond is only worth $200, but would cost you $20 Gs+ to buy anywhere. Been in businss for over 80 years he says but the internet is going to catch up to them.

I left there with my mouth open on how rude and dishonest they were to me. They tried to rip me off. The guy told me my ring was only 10carots but it says 18 carots. He tried to tell me it said 10..this ring has been in the family 50 years. What a jerk he was so rude and unprofessional and shady how he didnt want to talk about the ring in front of me...I have never been treated like that in any business ever!!!!!!! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB they tried to rip me off!!!!! Go to the Jewelry district and get what you deserve for your possesions. They offered me 300$ I got 700$ I swear what jerks DO NOT GO THERE!

The people that are giving 5 stars work there, Im pretty sure. The only true way to find out how that place work is to experience it for yourself. Believe me I know I been there, and Im from the north shore area. They do need to train their employees properly, and the owner needs to retrain his ass too. In a nutshell.... I brought a double Dimond ring to sell and they say 300, I say no thanks, came to Lynn and they say 800 so wtf??? Please try it for your self and then you will see what many mean!

There is nothing to like about this place. I called asking how much they give for an Xbox one. A-hole that answers the phone tells me 75$ for a loan so I asked the sell price he says "not much more." I simply say "wow game stop is offering twice as much as that after they take 20% for receiving cash". A-holes response " why are you calling me then?" The nerve of someone trying to make money talking to a customer like that. Efff this place. Hope the owner sees this. Email me anytime

Crazy dump and a great place to get mugged. The single most unpleasant pawn shop ever dealt with. Beane the owner is the arrogant old man who takes great joy in insulting everyone who dares to cross his sight. Amongst a cohort of dubious characters cursing and swearing like sailors. As a seller, you will get robbed. As a dealer, you will never get a shred of truth out of their mouth.

I went to Suffolk Pawn intending to sell my gold necklace. Ed, the owner, was so awesome. I wasnt even thinking about a pawn loan, but Ed clued me into the fact that if I just pawned the necklace instead, I could get the money and keep the necklace. In a way, I was relieved, because I really didnt want to part with the necklace. Ed made a loyal customer out of me that day.

The owner is not so pleasant. Along with nerdy blonde goofball with glasses who seems to have something up his Butt (literally)! The rest are sweethearts to me and tend to give above the $$$ limits because they know certain individuals are good for paying it all off. They also go above and beyond to brighten up ones day.. .

i have no option but to give it a star otherwise ide give them the finger...horrible sevice with an attitude..hispanic guy all nice to the latina but my milato wife looks latina but no spanish gets asked twice if she speaks spanish..i told em in spanishim a rican she doesnt speak it!...his demeanor an attitude changes...never again

Walked in to have the pin replaced on a watchband. Didnt bother asking the price because I thought the most it would cost would be ten dollars. What a mistake. I was charged 30 dollars for ten minutes work. Ripoff. Plus they were closed on Saturday had to come back on Monday.
