Who needs places like Starbucks when you have a cozy, independent, and fair-priced cafe to give your business too? Although not much larger than someones living room, this place is a great little find if you happen to be jonesing for some coffee or sandwiches. Located right by the Fenwood stop on the E line, I get the vibe that this place is often overlooked because of its location but for those who know about it, they understand just how lucky they are to have found it. Food and drinks are all very well priced, especially when compared to places like Starbucks (none of which are located close by) or The Pavement, which is located about a mile down Huntington. With tables surrounded by art and bookcases, you actually really do feel like youve walked into someones living/dining area and that vibe assists with making you feel all the more welcomed. As for why I am only giving it four and not five, I did find the service to be a bit slow, but then again, I am a native New Yorker. The idea of waiting even more than three minutes for a coffee is just not natural to me. Also, they stop serving food after 3pm which sucks if you wanted to get a late lunch or something. However, dont let these little grievances deter you. If you live in the area and like to support independent businesses, then support this one.

So, my co-worker goes in there to pick up breakfast sandwiches and orders a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with bacon and a breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. Well, I get my sandwich but there is no turkey sausage to be found so I call them to let them know that the sandwich wasnt correct. Before I can even finish, this snarky fellow on the phone says "If you want the 99 cents back we can give it to you because thats what it is." No apology, no "sorry we messed up your breakfast," just attitude! So, I reply, through clenched teeth, "Im just trying to tell you that it wasnt made correctly!" He then assures me that he doesnt believe my co-worker was charged but she can come in and get free meat some day if she wants. You know, why couldnt that have been the first response? Do these people not get that customer service is a part of what people pay for? You are getting PAID to provide a service not spew your nasty attitude to the customers! It used to be such a nice place to go but even the greatest muffins around arent worth putting up with bad service!

Im pretty particular about my coffee shops. I usually dont care for pastries or sandwiches. I care how good is their coffee. Green T is by far the best coffee Ive had so far. I like my coffee to have me uncomfortably wired if I drink it too fast. I like to taste my coffee, it should be strong and bitter, it should taste like it was brewed by a medicine man. Ive had their coffee hot and iced, both are excellent, the iced coffee is deadly for how fast you can drink it vs. how hard it hits. A medium iced redeye literally had me pacing around the lab not knowing what to do with myself. Cheap too, I reviewed another coffee shop where the price just didnt reflect their product, Ill pay whatever at Green T because I get that quality every time. Its a smaller shop, theres hardly any seating, dont order food unless youre willing to wait for it (their grilled cheeses are delicious though), but the coffee is worth the visit alone.

Absolutely bottom of the barrel service. I sincerely hope the barista was simply having an off day. When I ordered there were a couple people in line. I opened with "good afternoon" and was immediately taken aback by her curt response and tone of voice. If this is the standard service be prepared for unhelpful answers and to leave feeling as though you are a blight upon the earth. The drink I ordered was so-so.

Tiny cozy cafe. Great Tea and pastries. The atmosphere is the best. If you like cozy hidden away cafes to come and just read a book next to a little fire oven then this is the perfect place. Their great selection of tea from allover the world makes it a great spot for tea lovers too. They serve food too, but only until 3pm when the kitchen closes. I really like this place.

When I was living on Mission Hill this was my go to morning spot. The coffee is tasty and the vibe there is really cool with local art on the walls and indie music playing. Gets busy quick and food takes a while to get made but the wait is worth it. I always found myself gravitating towards the Popeye sandwich and the Calumet smoothie.

This place has good breakfast sandwiches. I recommend the Popeye (mozzarella, vidalia onions, spinach and egg whites, with Sriracha sauce in a wrap). The coffee drinks are also good. Staff isnt particularly friendly, but they arent particularly rude, either.

I want to like this place so much!!!! But every time I go there they mess up a sandwich or a coffee. Im not saying the messed up sandwich or coffee is bad and the people are nice, but there are only so many times that you can try a place.

Really cool vibes from this place. I have enjoyed every drink and pastry Ive gotten from there. The staff is quirky and fun. It can be hard to spot of you are not looking for it specifically. You have to go down a few stairs to enter.

Great coffee and breakfast bagels! Definitely worth the visit and trying our the assortment of items on the menu. They also have great smoothies that are named after nearby streets. Definitely recommend dropping by!

Kitchen closes whenever they want, despite what they advertise. Id go with a cafe thats more predictable rather than waste your time going and being disappointed. Unfortunate, they have some good sandies

Smoothies are some of my favorites in Back Bay, and their breakfast burritos have gotten me through some drunken nights on Mission Hill. Love when they are open til 3 in the summer. Limited seating.

The green T has a great selection of smoothies, as well as coffee and sandwiches. I recommend the Huntington smoothie and the Atlantic Salmon on a raisin bagel.

Love their Big Breakfast sandwich with Turkey sausage on a Spinach wrap. Unfortunately no fresh orange juice or even a good squeezed orange juice brand to buy.

very poorly constructed breakfast sandwich and put the cup seam in the exact wrong spot so it kept spilling on me. like literally the one job meme.

A small place with a simple but tasty menu! Get the seat next to the window and slide it open to drink your coffee **almost** outside!

Get the Eldora bagel with sausage. Theyve got a heavenly jalapeno spread that I would cover my whole body in if theyd let me.
