Dont get it twisted: Fuel is a library pretending to be a coffee shop. On any given weekend day, you will find this place barely noisy filled with Macbook carrying BC students camped out to finish their latest and greatest assignment. The service is decent and the atmosphere, if there was ever a turn over in available seating, would be astounding... but thats just it, it never changes over ever. People spend entire days on one measly $1.69 coffee absorbing the free wi-fi camped at tables. They give you dirty looks when you, the actual coffee shop goer who intended to break out of your apartment for the morning and leisurely enjoy a hot brewed cup of joy, begin to hold a conversation. Listen buddy, I dont go to your library to drink coffee. So dont go to my coffee shop to study. Fuel could be the greatest coffee shop in all of Boston if it werent for the obnoxious adherence to "fueling" the ongoing study session. Last I checked, these kids are living off of student loans... Im living off the salary I make from going to my job Monday-Friday. How about you appeal to the consumer base that will actually sustain you? Sorry Fuel, your fresh brewed goodness isnt worth those obnoxious laptop cords that treacherously line your floors. Do us all a favor and cut the wi-fi every now and then and allow some turn over.

They have nice salad options, and I love the dressing for the "Asian" salad. They need to season the chicken for salads though, instead of expecting the salad dressing to do that for them. They only have one gluten-free pastry option, a blueberry loaf. Its always dry and bland, which is a shame since I would love to get something with my coffee when Im not in for a meal. My fiance likes the normal pastries at least, so he gets to enjoy that. The location is convenient for us, but its tucked away in a residential area. Despite that, its always busy and quite often there isnt a place to sit, as its so comfy that people spend entire afternoons here. Oh yeah, the coffee is good, too. They have a large selection of tea to try, if youre into that.

Alright food, decent coffee, bad lattes, and rude baristas. The food is alright and semi affordable in comparison to other cafes. The coffee is not great but nor terrible. Avoid the lattes or anything on the bar. 3 out 4 of my lattes have been burnt or a half cup of foam. Anybody whos ever worked as a barista can taste it right away. The place is loud, bring headphones and expect people to bump into your chair. The place is crowded on a regular basis. Overall, its nothing special and ties right in with starbucks and dunks. If you dont live close to it, theres no point in checking it out.

Very cozy and modern cafe with big windows for views of Chestnut Hill Ave or if youre into something a little darker, make your way to the back of the cafe where the dark wood will absorb the light allowing you to crawl into your book, studying, game, or hobby. Music is always on point. The food is always super fresh and the drinks are super creative! Just a heads up, the coffee is strong and piping hot! With a name like Fuel America, I wouldnt have it any other way.

The farmers omelette sandwich is delicious, the omelette is the fluffiest Ive ever had and the sriracha mayo complements it perfectly. They have a lot of cool varieties of lattes on their specials board, the cinnamon honey was really good! But good luck finding a place to sit down and grab a bite on a Saturday morning, its full of people busy on their laptops.

Found this randomly one day driving by. Apparently theyve been around for years and have locations in Logan Airport as well. Big menu, decent espresso, huge space to setup and work. I wish their espresso was fresher roasted, and it could earn another star from me. Their website is awful when I tried using it. Batista seemed to share my frustrations.

One of my favorite sports for coffee and a sandwich in the area. Big, yummy salads too. Their smoothies and fresh pressed juices are delicious. Kind, personable staff. Gets packed during Boston Colleges major exam weeks, but the rest of the time has ample space for spreading out and getting work done. An absolute gem.

Great local spot with friendly service and good coffee and food options. Be mindful of the day/time you come though as it can be crowded when Boston College is in session. Theres plenty of seating although not every area has a place to plug in. Free WiFi though and a generally good environment to do work.

Breakfast of champions, please insert your expletive of choice to properly express the required extremity of this statement. The food is so good I forget to post a picture of it and all I have left is the bag it came in. Which Im sure tastes good by association and juxtaposition to the sandwich I ordered.

Food and coffee is great. My only complaint, as someone who likes to get work done here, is that they like to blast loud and distracting music all day (it is especially loud in the back). I wish they would play quieter music without words that blended in more with the ambience of the cafe (ie jazz).

This is my favorite place to order an espresso drink and to drop some studying. Music is loud but not annoying (to me). Favorite items are the ricotta-honey toast and the cortado espresso. Staff is hipster-friendly. Lots of seating and as many outlets that you can expect.

Love the garden pan omelet, 1/2 slice which is made from egg whites and over greens. I also love the honey ricotta toast. Usually get large cappucino. They are pretty expensive, but i really like this place. I love the interior, it does have that industrial feel.

Cute spot Brighton. Cant imagine a nicer surprise next to an outpost Cumberland Farms than this really decent coffee place. They had a deal on two bags of coffee, but I only needed one, and they were super sweet to me and gave me a cup of coffee on the house.

Huge fan of Fuel. In the world of Starbucks and Dunks, Fuel had carved out a space servicing those who ACTUALLY like coffee. I survive during the week on Patriots Blend. Dont miss the Golden Green tea blend and wide offering of really excellent food.

Great coffee, great sandwiches and sweet treats. Not exorbitantly priced like some of the other cafes popping up around the city recently. Can get crowded and the wifi can sometimes be a bit slow - but its still my favorite cafe in Allston/Brighton!

Love this place. Great and varied seating for a quick snack or a leisurely visit with friends for chat, study, or reading. Very friendly staff and service. Delicious Mediterranean Salad freshly made for you. The black iced tea is just right!

The coffee is flavorful enough that I have begun buying bags of it for home consumption. Its better than your average coffee spot with a hip, open, bright and clean dining area to do some work while you sip. The food is solid too.

The ambiance and decor are quite cool, and the pastries (scone in my case) really good and reasonably priced. The coffee unfortunately was quite expensive and not so good. Definitely would try again to double check my facts

Stopped in for a quick sandwich. The wheat bread tastes funny and there is very little meat on the sandwich. Service was OK nit the counter girls were much more interested in each other than the customers.
