I bought a Clarion Bedroom set and I purchased a mattress set from them. The purchase was pretty no nonsense. I told them I was looking around and they left me alone. Im so thankful that they didnt follow me all around. When I found what I wanted, I went back to the woman who greeted me at the door. I asked her about the bedroom set. And she helped me test out their matresses. Delivery was free because of the matress purchase. I dont know if they still offer that deal. I made the purchase on a Saturday and they told me that they would deliver my furniture Wednesday between the hours of 2-5pm. I was surprised to see the furniture truck show up half hour early. I was just getting home expecting them to be late especially since delivery was free. There were two delivery men who setup everything for me and answered my questions about how to break it down again when Im ready to move. They were very helpful. The furniture was in great condition when I received it and I was happy with the purchase. Ive had the furniture for a few months and it is holding up well. Im looking for a living room set now and I would feel confident buying from them again, but I dont want my apartment to look like a VCF showroom floor so Im looking at other stores. But I hope the next store will be just as helpful as Value City was. I highly recommend them based on my experience. Dont buy any accessories though because they are waaayyy overpriced. Who pays 85 dollars for a table lamp that looks like it came from IKEA?

This establishment is so unprofessional..You have to search around for someone to help you purchase from this store. The staff are Uneducated on the Furniture they are selling. I recently brought a King bed set from the location in Waldorf MD and the salesman only concern was getting the commission. When I brought the bed the mattress was $1000 and the mattress was defective!! The king bed was $799.00.. They had to send a "Technician" to my home and I had to wait in a large Time frame for them to arrive to my home from 130 pm to 430 pm THEY NEVER ARRIVED ..EVEN THOUGH THEY CALL YOU A DAY OR TWO TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT!! THE TECHNICIAN CAME THE NEXT DAY.. When he arrives this process took 10 min for him to tell me what I already knew..Wasted my entire afternoon!! They have young girls who answer the phones who sounds like they are upset they have a job and they mumble when they speak which gives me the indication that theyre highest form of education is most likely 12 grade .. The manager was unprofessional at the store when I express my concerns. Now I have to wait another week for them to replace my Mattress and again sit around in my home in a large window of time and wait as if my time isnt valuable.. I wouldnt recommend anyone buy from this Furniture store.. THIS STORE SUCKS THEY NEED BETTER TRAINING!! OR FIRE EVERYONE AND START FRESH!

I have purchased items from this store and I will say that sometimes you get what you pay for but this time was the worst. We purchased a nice sectional but eventhough my husband stated what way he wanted to sectional pieces to be it was ordered the wrong way by the sales person. When it arrived at our house we had to call and let them know that it was the wrong way. They said they would send a new one but when I took off of work to be at home to ensure it was the correct way when it was delivered THEY ONLY SENT ONE END OF THE SECTIONAL TO REPLACE. (Wouldnt you think that you would need to at the very least send both ends of the sectional to replace if it was the wrong was all together? Common sense...I thought.) We now have to call AGAIN to have them come to at the very least replace the other end piece which of course means I have to take some more time off of work to have them exchange this piece. I am waiting on a call back from the manager but I am thinking about going up there. Overall, we were greeted politely when we walked through the door in the beginning, our salesman was very nice (though he ordered the sectional the wrong way) and the delivery guys were nice but I wouldnt expect ordering and delivering a sectional couch to be this hard. After reading other reviews, I really this store steps its game up.

Prices are cheap but thats what youre getting, cheap furniture. I purchased a sectional sofa and ottoman in 2010. Since then the cushions have deflated and the leather has begun to peel. I also purchased a 7 year warranty with the furniture, which Value City claims covers everything. Even in writing it says "rips, tears, stains.." but evidently "peeling" isnt a key word and thus is NOT covered. The warranty is with a company by the name of Stain Safe. A simple Google search will tell you all you need to know about them. They will break their backs to find any way possible for your warranty claim to NOT be covered. To remedy their poor track record they have morphed into Global Care Solutions LLC in an effort to escape all liabilities regarding warranty claims. Theyre crooks, plain and simple. Kknow what youre getting yourself into and dont expect champagne furniture for kool aid prices.

Purchased a futon in July. One week later the steel screw into wooden back leg was bent, which caused the futon to severly tilt. I was told I would recieved a replacement futon, what I receieved a was a repairman attempting to fix the same broken leg I am still dealing with in November. I contacted value city to have it replaced and not repaired. They brought me another futon. Another broken back leg was delieverd Friday, this time the right leg. I advised them this is unacceptable and I refused delivery. I went to the store to seek resolution. I was told by the manager he would take care of it. I still have not heard from this manager. This is now Monday. My items are paid in full since Julys order. I will never shop at Value City again. I will take my business else where moving forward.

Absolutely the WORST customer service Ive ever received!!! We purchased two electric recliners just over a year ago. After about 10 months, one of the power supplies went out. It was still under warranty, so we called VCF to get a replacement. We moved out of state before the power supply went out, so we asked them to ship it to us. It took several phone calls and several months before we got any action. When we finally did, they sent only a plug. Now its been over 6-months since we first contacted them, and still no resolution. Customer service continually states that they need to talk to the manager, and then they never get back to us! Steer clear from this store. The Customer service ladies who talk on the phone are as nice as can be, but the store manager is irresponsible!
