Beware of fake 5 star reviews. The Sofa Store has been open for 4 years. Currently, 19 of the 21 five star reviews were posted between 5 and 8 months ago. Either no reviews happened before then, or The Sofa Store had them removed and manipulated the ratings using an online reputation management company. This review will probably get removed as well, further proving my point. As for my experience: There was a plastic stopper missing on the bottom of my couch upon delivery. The movers did not notice and upon putting the couch together the exposed screw grinded my hardwood floors very badly. The movers also put the couch together in a manner that blocked entry into the next room. After the movers fixed their mistake and admitted error the owner gave me his name and number. The number was fake and goes straight to voicemail. The Sofa Store is not accepting responsibility for this mishap, and they have somehow gotten in contact with the movers who also wont accept responsibility. As for the quality of the furniture itself: We purchased a $4,000 sectional sofa with power recliners. The fabric is rather cheap and upholstered using Velcro. Therefore, the fabric becomes wrinkled, loose, and old looking after about a week. I only weigh 160 lbs and when I stand up to get off the couch the entire couch tips forward. The materials are extremely light and cheap. There appears to be a missing bolt & nut set as well. The cords to the power recliners are huge power blocks that cannot be hidden with ease. They do come unplugged with ease and I have to reach behind the couch to plug them in again before I can recline. I imagine they are coming unplugged from the couching tipping upwards when I stand up. Overall I would not recommend. I purchased some additional furniture from Value City a week later. The quality was FAR superior and the couch was $3,000 less expensive.

Although we had a fine experience in the store while purchasing our sofa, I am forced to give only 1 star due to the delivery company that was used. Our sofa was carried inside while it was raining with no wrapping around it, the throw pillows in a garbage bag and the actual sofa pillows (which were removable) were not secured by anything. When the guys reached my porch (which was wet) and realized they needed to change the position of the sofa to fit it through the doorway, they flipped the couch which caused all of the pillows to fall onto my wet and muddy porch. Did I mention the sofa is white? So while they continued to move the sofa inside and I frantically cleaned the cushions (a new record of having to clean the couch before it even got into the house!), all the delivery guy said was "I will have the store call you". I filled out the paperwork and made a note of the incident and waited for a call from the store to send someone out to clean the cushions. Did anyone ever call me? No. I will never buy anything from that store again and I suggest that you dont either. Shame on them for hiring a terrible delivery company to transport two thousand+ dollar sofas.

We love our couch. The couch was one that was ordered wrong by another salesperson and was sitting on the floor at a discount. So we bought it right then on a tuesday for Saturday delivery. This was the Saturday before Easter. So we definitely needed it that day because we were hosting the next day. When the delivery came they were attempting to fit it through our door and couldnt. We knew we bought a couch that would fit in our house. When we looked closer they were delivering the wrong couch. After what felt like an hour, the delivery guy told us that his boss would call us. when his boss called us he said there was a mix up and our couch was an hour away from us. So we waited an additional hour. They corrected their error but it was still very stressful. Everything besides that went very smoothly. If anything they are slightly over priced.

I recently bought a leather sectional from the Sofa Store and Matthew Thacker was our sales consultant. He was great to work with and my husband and I enjoyed the experience. This is very unusual because we dont general enjoy buying large items as it is very stressful. Matthew made everything easy and relaxing. Ive waited to post my comment because I wanted to make sure we were happy with our sofa before I recommended the Sofa Store. I could not be any happier with our sofa or the entire experience. I sent my neighbors to Matthew and they also bought a leather sectional for their house. After this experience I will never buy anywhere else. Thanks Matthew! Donna Trout

Had a great experience while shopping at the Sofa store. Our sales consultant Matt T. took time to really allow us to shop around and answer our questions without feeling like we were being pressured or followed. (Cmon, it happens a lot at furniture stores!) We got a beautiful pallisar sofa sectional that feels extremely well made. Matt helped pick out the perfect fabric, and was very very instrumental at helping us get the best price out there. On top of that, free shipping! Thanks to Matt and the rest of the folks at the sofa store and big screen store. I would highly recommend this business.

Great design but mostly expensive with very late delivery options. The quality of the furniture is good and the designs offered here cannot be found in most other cheap furniture stores. The downside is that you might not get the furniture as quickly as you would want. We were told that the furniture that we liked might take upto 8 weeks to be delivered. Only the clearance stuff is delivered in 2 weeks. That was the deal breaker for us. We didnt want to wait for that long. But there are many other fine furniture stores that might deliver much quicker that these people.

After shopping several other stores, I recently bought a sofa at The Sofa Store from Sales Consultant Matt T. He could not have been more helpful or more accommodating. There was no hard sell sales pressure whatsoever; just useful advice. It was a very pleasant experience working with him -- and my sofa is very well-made and quite attractive. I would highly recommend both the store and working with Matt. And I plan to purchase more pieces there in the near future. Big thumbs up.

I bought a sofa from the sofa store representative Matt Thacker. Through e-mail, Matt answered all remaining questions and concerns that I had. He sent me the specs and receipt personally. The sofa was for 4 to 6 week delivery and came in early at 3 weeks. They held it until the next week per my request and delivered it one day early. The delivery people were friendy and efficient. Should I need another sofa (doubtful), I will go right back to the sofa store and look for Matt Thacker.

Had an amazing experience shopping at the sofa store in Towson, Mr. Thacker helped us out and was great. We got exactly what we were looking for - we should have gone here first, spent so much wasted time at other stores beforehand.. next time we will go to sofastore first! Also we got the 5yr warrantee so if anything happens they have a team come out to repair it. My kids colored on one of the sofas and they made an appointment to come out and remove it, it looks like new now! 5 stars
