I saw the sign for the new Espresso shop and went in to get an espresso for myself and a cappuccino for my wife. I read the menu, saw the drip first but also the espresso drinks on the menu. An employee came by and asked if I wanted coffee. When I said yes, she said she would get the person who makes coffee. Eventually, a woman came with her shoulders slumped and arms hanging at her sides. Without looking at me, she asked what I wanted, then turned to look at me when I said, "A cappuccino and a double espresso." She rolled her eyes and slowly started to walk away without saying anything. I said, "You know what, Im just gonna skip it, thanks," and I left. I went to the Dunkin Donuts on the other side of the plaza after that for my coffee. This was on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:15 a.m. (written by Janet Yaceczko as dictated by husband).

Great local family owned grocery store. While I would like to see some self checkout lanes I have to say there really isnt a huge wait to check out. My wife is Portuguese and they always have a nice selection of Portuguese rolls in their bakery. I tend to pick up whatever they have when I stop by. Sorry to those of you who wanted one. If theyre there when I arrive they will be going home with me.

They usually have at least one sale on staple everyday supplies and let you know when they have new things to try. They devote an entire aisle to just pet products. Just for getting all our pets needs there, we got a ten dollar coupon... Unfortunately we forgot the date and brought it two days later and it expired but the prices were still amazing. The reason they dont get a fifth

They have upgraded the produce area. Trying to look like whole foods or something. The prices are not that great either. I only get stuff on sale. 4 stars for prices. Their fried chicken is yummy. We like their Cole slaw as well. Doughnuts are extremely good here. I get my kids birthday cakes here.

Lauers is a very good locally owned grocery store, but their bakery is over-the-top good! I bring their doughnuts to work periodically and people rave about them. From cakes to pumpkin bars their baked goods are all "old-school delicious". Also you can get Ostrowskis sausage in the meat department.

I dont get a weekly circular, my question...why does it take so long to post a new weekly circular..as of today 11/19 @ 9:31 am it is not posted for view on the internet...It would be nice if the circular was posted on the last day or EARLY morning for the new weekly specials.

Lauers is a really good, convenient neighborhood grocery store. They have just about everything I ever need and are open when I need them. They are great if I need to run out for something quick that Ive forgotten or for weekly shopping. Their bakery is the best around.

Always friendly and curteous staff. Food delicious. If prices were a little lower they would get a five! Seems I can get cheaper prices on 9/10 items by driving a few miles up the road. Lauers is local and convenient though so most of the time we shop here!

Freshest meat & produce. Awesome bakery with huge selection and the salad bar & hot foods are the best in Pasadena. Love the place you can even pick up cards gifts and flowers. They always have a full staff working so no longer lines.

Expensive and when they have sales, they are normally sold out of sale items and they dont restock in time.. We pay about 3times more here than we do at Geresbecks... Save yourself the trouble and money and go to Geresbecks instead...
