After a ton of research we decided to bring my sister to Deja Vu to find her prom dress and I can honestly say we did not have the experience I was expecting or the one that everyone in these reviews has claimed it was for them. The first sales lady "assigned" to us was a mess...She wasnt very friendly at all. My sister and I had looked on the website where there are a ton of dresses - we showed the sales lady the dress and she very bluntly and almost with a nasty tone told us "Yeah, no we cant get this!" Why have things on your website that you cant get? They asked my sister right away her jeans size and directed us to where the 0-2 dresses were. She picked a few and the first one she tried you could tell before she was even zipped into the dress that it was too small. The sales lady goes and gets another girl to help her zip my sister into the dress - zips her up and with one breath out the dress zipper pops. Instead of being gracious about this situation the sales lady proceeds to blow it out proportion as she huffs and puffs around saying how much her boss is going to kill her - grabs another girl again to help her cut her out of the dress still being dramatic about it. She does this for a living and I think it was apparent that the dress didnt fit before she tried to zip it up. Needless to say my sister felt awful. I think its important when working with young ladies to be mindful of the way you speak when dealing with different body types. No girl should be made to feel bad or like shes too big or too small. Vanessa ended up saving the day with her sweet demeanor and gentleness. If she wouldnt have been so sweet I would have left the moment my sister was cut out of that dress. This stores staff needs a lesson in customer service - Minus Vanessa b/c she was awesome! Even with that, not sure I will even come back to Deja Vu. For the price of these dresses and the beauty of the store I was expecting much more.

In preparation of a masquerade ball, I was referred to Deja Vu by my sister. She was a first-time patron of the boutique and was so excited upon her arrival, she called me during her shopping experience to tell me I must stop by. She promised it was one-stop shopping with a phenomenal, attentive staff. She found a beautiful dress for the masquerade ball, and so did her daughter. I dropped everything and talked my mother into taking this two-hour drive with me to the store. When we arrived, the store was abuzz with customers. We still received a warm greeting and were directed to the area of the store for us to begin shopping. There were soooooooooooo many beautiful gowns. I pulled 12 right away to begin trying them on. The dressing rooms were clean and private, and they offered dressing robes if you need to go grab some more dresses to try on. As busy as the boutique was, one of the employees, Colby, provided individualized service. She stood nearby asking to see each one and gave me honest feedback about the gowns I tried on. Other sales consultants were also interested and enthusiastic about this big decision I had to make. If you have a prom, pageant, wedding, or some other big occasion to attend and you need a beautiful gown, you will not go wrong with Deja Vu. The inventory consisted of high-quality garments at reasonable prices. Be sure of your purchase, though, as there are no refunds!

After finding a dress online this year, my daughter wanted to try it on before she purchased it, so after going to multiple websites, I found that Déjà Vu was the closest store that carried the dress (close still being a good hour and a half away from our home). The website said they had a red, size 6 in the particular dress so just to confirm, I called and the women speaking reassured me that they had it in stock in the store. So after taking the extensive journey to Maryland, we arrived in good spirit hoping to quickly get in and out. After speaking to employee number #1, she told me that the dress didnt seem to be where it was supposed to be located, but said shed take another look. Employee #2 told me that it was in-stock in their inventory but failed to do anything further. Employee #3 was held up at the empty cash register and regretfully could not lend a hand. After waiting for another 30 minutes, I realized that valuable staff members had probably forgotten about their customer and had redirected their attention else where. I was eventually told that the dress had been purchased but they simply forgot to update their system. So after wasting the majority of my day driving and waiting around in a crowded store for nothing, we left empty handed and thus I returned home and ended my day with this review.

Purchased daughters dress for affair in August. Affair not until November. Took dress out of package for first time and noticed 2 stains on dress. From the previous reviews, store obviously lets others try on dresses or perhaps manufacturer defect. Been in retail at executive level and the first thing taught is how you handle a problem. Listening with an empathetic ear often times is enough to solve the problem. The dress was $188 and really was not about the money. It was more the lack of empathy that was displayed by the employee. Per another review, the manager and or owner was no where to be found after numerous requests to speak to either one. I would at the very least apologize, show empathy, and offer to assist the customer in some sort of resolution. Was offered to come in to steam the dress, which shows the level of incompetency of the establishment per a reputable cleaner. To at least recognize that a defected item from the designer or someone trying on the dress in the store would have been enough to satisfy the customer. To then maybe offer to spilt a cleaning bill, which would have cost the owner 15.00, would have been a good faith gesture. Finally, the owner needs to get his/her act together and handle these types of complaints to ensure proper handling. Lost another customer....

My daughter found out that the dress we bought is the same dress another girl in her school has. I called the store spoke with an employee not sure of her name and she directed me to I think was the manager. I told her my daughters name what school she attends. I also told her the name of the other girl and what school she attends. The manager assured me they bought different dresses. I sent her pictures of my daughters dress and her friends dress and she said that is not the dress her friend bought. So I then had my daughters friend take a picture of herself with the dress in her home and the receipt and SKU of the dress so the manager would see that they have the same dress. Clearly it is the same exact dress but made by different designers. I also paid 589.00 for her dress almost $100.00 more than her friends. I sent her an email this morning and have called to see if they have received the email. I am still waiting for a response.... I am very disappointed that they sold us the same dress and that the lack of attention to this matter. You pay a lot for these dresses and they pride themselves on not selling the same dress. I hope this matter is addresses as soon as possible because prom is in less than a month and we need another dress.
