Without a doubt the worst Home Depot I have ever been to. The staff was incredibly rude, and not the least bit helpful. I went there to refill a propane tank using the self-serve machine outside the store. The machine did not print my receipt, which I needed because this was a business expense. I then went in the store to explain my situation, to customer service. The lady who "helped" me was very rude and unfriendly, and made me feel very unwelcome, as if I were hassling her. I was told to wait by the machine and someone would be out to help me. I waited for about 20 minutes until someone finally came out to service the machine. After he serviced the machine they were still unable to print my receipt. So I go back in the store and speak to a different lady at customer service. This woman was even more rude than the first. I politely explained my predicament, and she responded by RASING HER VOICE AT ME and said something along the lines of "We CANNOT print your receipt, we are NOT affiliated with the propane dispenser". Now frustrated, I called the 1-800 number on the propane dispenser, and spoke to a customer service rep on the phone (who was very helpful and polite) and he explained that the lady was not telling me the truth, and that in fact it was very simple to print my receipt, by just giving her the credit card number. So I go back in again and tell her, and this time she was even MORE RUDE, as if I was accusing her of lying. She finally takes my card number, and makes a couple phone calls. I then stand around uncomfortably for another 30 minutes (not exxagerating, it was this bad) until someone finally came by and gave me my receipt. The whole fiasco was such a terrible waste of time. What should have taken about one minute took over an hour, and the whole time I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Im sorry for posting a long rant, but this is the first time in my life I have ever felt compelled to write something like this. This was hands down, the worst I have ever been treated by customer service anywhere. I would absolutely not recommend this store to anyone.

So normally I write pretty good reviews for home depot. This time was a slightly different experience. Long story short, I got a vanity from the Bowie location that came broken. I called a manager (George) who told me thay I should return it to the Lanham location (since it was closer to me and I dont have a large vehicle to be able to transport it). I somehow managed to get someone to bring me since Im really close by. When I got there, the lady at the desk was incredibly rude when said there was nothing she could do. Apparently, damaged items need to be returned to their original stores.. So I called George back because my friend couldnt take me to Bowie and I needed it today. George pretty much said oh, well, not my problem (paraphrasing). So essentially, if you have no way of transporting something, dont buy it uless you have them deliver it and maybe even have them check the item before sending it out. But the customer service couldnt be bothered to help me find a decent solution so it gets sub par rating for this transaction.

Home Depots return policy is unfair and all conditions are not properly disclosed to consumers at the time of purchase. I purchased around $73 worth of items and later needed to return them unopened and unused with a receipt and with 30 days of purchase and their system is not allowing the refund. I call the number the asked me to call and they cant do anything and asked me contact the corporate office. Ive been dealing with corporate office weeks and they keep telling that is issue has been resolved but it has in fact not been resolved. The corporate office has directed me to return to the store over six times to get a refund and this issue has not been resolved. Today, 10/30/15, I had an encounter with a return desk clerk, the store manager, and an assistant manager that has convinced me that I need to bring legal action against home Depot.

Dont call the pro desk. I just called and spoke to the Manager of the pro desk who told me I couldnt place an order because he had 5 people in front of him. So I asked to speak to another manager. Was just on hold and after a few minutes, the call hung up (Im on a landline) Must be some pretty poor management there if the employees can just pick up a line and say "hang on" and put you back on hold. After speaking with someone at customer service that person just kept sending my call to the Pro desk where no one picked up and it was sent back to customer service. So for nearly 10 minutes the call was just transferred multiple times with no assistance.

This is one of the worse HD in have ever encountered! I ordered a whole house generator and it was poorly installed (on a bed of rock) even though the picture shows it on a concrete slab. I also had to ask the manager to replace the major amount of drywall ripped out by the installer when they were installing the switch (they were very, very rude also) with large holes left. When I called the installer, they said that just the way they do it!!! I try to not use this store for anything important. I am buying new windows and a patio door now and I am using Lowes.

One star because I have to put it. But this home depot has the WORST customer service ever. I called in for an item had all of the info, ski number, aisle & bay # ready. Instead they kept asking the same one question and then passed the phone around. Then put me on hold for 15 minutes. Unacceptable. If youre in the Largo, Cap Heights or any nearby area go to Lowes or the Capitol Heights Home Depot, way better service there.

One STAR for Home Depot : LOGO since cannot leave it blank. Very poor customer service, most workers dont know about their product. Actually, couple of times, the customers assisted me more than the Home Depot employee with the product information. My experience is so bitter in this store as I have suffered a lot from this store. Never recommend anyone to go there unless you are stuck, perhaps consider this as last resort.

I rented an aerator for $70 4 hours. They charged me $75 cause the machine was dirty. If i rent a hose, will you charge me cause its wet? Everytime I visit this store the employees are very very rude and have a really bad customer service. I hope I will never ever rent a tool with them again. And I tell everybody pls dont go there. If you really wanna have a good services theres one place on 450 close to Free State Mall.

Received a $200 parking ticket while returning a tool to tool rental because I was parked in a fire lane right next to contractor pick-up, which was full of cars. The cop who issued the ticket was shooting the breeze with a home depot employee. Management on duty had only been there for a week and couldnt do anything about it. Ill be taking my home improvement dollars elsewhere.
