the people are nice, just under staffed, proud of it, and incompetent, they smile and talk real nice to you in between telling you why they cant ever help you. the garden center has a few teenagers there, smiling and goofing off with each other ....and when you ask them what any gardener over ten years old should know...they know absolutely nothing and the supposed guy who knows everything is never IN. When he IS in...it looks like he trains NO ONE. they should know basics of plants before being assigned in that section. how un professional would it be if the guy in the plumbing section and couldnt tell a guy what a crowbar is much less where it might be found. or the employee manning the building materials didnt know what dry wall was. Its not this way in most of the country...just big cities like Baltimore, and wouldnt surprise me if Chicago, Philadelphia....were the same. I called the next day, to ask if the tree I need is even carried at the store...mind you, this is a totally common, very prevalent tree. I see it on almost every street in Owings mills. The manager tells me that everybodys busy (tell me about it , I couldnt get any help yesterday when I was IN there). BUT I had one question. It was a two second question with a one second answer that ANYBODY in garden should know like they know their grandma. "does your store carry this tree?"....not do you have any left....JUST does this store CARRY this tree. Have you seen it, is it something you sell." Simple Q. But the manager couldnt help me with that 1/2 min request. call another time, she says. Incompetent lazy Baltimore. Im used to it from the Home depot to the Wal-Mart to the McDonalds. If Florida, it wasnt this way. They care who they hire and train them. the well known chains there are very very different from Balt and professional...even Eldersburgs home depot is wwaayy better, pretty soon if I keep talking a pattern of evidence as to why... will likely emerge, so Ill just leave it at that.

Truly outstanding. Ms. Barbara Gray-Bruno from the seasonal section helped us above and beyond and when she couldnt find the tree we wanted in stock she asked the store Manager Ms. Cece if we could buy the display and they couldnt allow us too they worked together to find a store with it in stock but it was 45 minutes away and we had already drove from Essex Maryland to get the one another store told us they had, well Mike Braden a supervisor had walked up and heard our story and offered to drive the 45 minutes away to pick the tree up and deliver it to my grandmothers home free of charge. this store has made my grandmothers Christmas complete. they did all of this for us to make shore that if this is really her last Christmas it would be complete with a tree. we let them know that my grandmother wouldnt have needed any thing to decorate if her caregiver who we had gained the knowledge that was not only abusing her but her grandson who she raises as well. When we had her removed she came back with officers to get her belongings and took all of her items as well and the officers said we couldnt stop her we had to take her to court. So with that being said this store is the best and ill be shopping only here from here on out they are truly family orientated. i still cant believe what they have done for us and my grandmother. Thank you with all our hearts Ms, Barbara, Cece, and Mike B.

I ordered 6 appliances for a small kitchen. To say that this was a bad experience - it is not say anything. Delivery people brought in (stove, microwave and dishwasher) - are not licensed to install anything, didnt bring the rest because they ascertained that the dimensions of the rest three items are not appropriate. We had to order the same appliances again with an additional kit for the washer and dryer. We had to pay from another credit card, because the first order was canceled immediately. It has been 2 weeks and we still didnt receive appropriate credit from the cancelled order. Today, we finally received the last portion of the order for washer and dryer and it needs a plumber and an installer in addition to the delivery team to complete the work. I wrote a letter to the customer care - no answer for over a week. Never is going to use it. The store has to many parties involved and cant coordinate anything.

Unpleasant experience. Still trying to understand how I went in knowing exactly what I wanted, waited an eternity for someone to help me, when help finally arrived I pointed out exactly what I wanted to the representative; and 35 minutes later hes still trying to figure out how to place the order on the computer. Maybe Home Depot should try doing a better job at training their team members. If youre not going to train your teams extensively, then put your most knowledgeable and experienced people in the areas where people are spending large dollar amounts. No one wants to come in, prepared to spend significant dollars on an appliance only to deal with a representative that is not clear on how to operate the systems and close the sale. Ill spend my time & money elsewhere. Frustrated! !

Me and my wife wanted to order custom blinds, we waited for someone to help us for 10 minutes but no one ever came, then we asked one employee to call someone, she went somewhere then came back and said someone will be with us in a minute, after 15 minutes we came up to another employee, he called someone else and that guy took us to another 2 guys who tried to call another person and overall no one knew a damn thing, they said "The person who handles blinds is with a customer, hell be done in 5 minutes". After hearing that we just walked out of the store because there was NO ONE ELSE besides me and my wife in the blinds department.

I just moved to Owings Mills from Los Angeles. I have no problems with this HD. Its good to see an HD so close to home. This is a self-service warehouse store, people. You go in, you get your stuff, you get out. Aside from their poor houseplant assortment (Ive been to 4 HDs in this area... they are all nowhere near the assortment we have in LA) I have had only good experiences here. Im not sure how it got all the bad reviews. I love this place... its 9 minutes from me. In, out, no biggie. Keep up the good works, folks!

The second worst Home Depot in Baltimore -- their 6620 Reisterstown Road (Reisterstown Road Plaza) location being their worst, and least safe. The hardware supply is most-always in disarray and it takes months to restock depleted stock. 1/20 employees is of any help. I actually derive more helpful information from fellow DIYers wandering about in the store. And their parking lot always floods in rain -- like a 1 deep pool of water. How does that happen at a home improvement store!?! Speaks volumes...

Been going to this Home Depot for about 2 years now and have spent over $15,000. Sadly I would no go here if I was to do it again. WE ordered new windows for our house and was not told about becoming a PRO Member. We always have the hardest time finding employees to help us with with products and looking for items in the store. We want to go for 30 minutes top always ends up being a hour or 2 trying to get help.
