The experience was so bad that we dropped everything and left. First off, they have a toy section for children. But one in which your child isnt allowed to look around. As soon as my son entered it, he was reprimanded for squeezing one of the squeaky toys they have (in complete reach of children) They have signs in the book section stating that you can not read, or use their books. It even states that you should go to the library if you cant afford them. Also states that there is no referencing materials allowed. Their furniture has signs on it that read "Only sit if you intend to buy" so you cant test it out. Now, its not just about the signs. Its about the staff, they are by far the rudest people have I have come in contact with. I was less than a foot away from my son browsing clothing when one staff grabbed the toy he had, and another told me to keep him closer to me. They were gossiping about customers. My wife and I both put back all the items that we were about to purchase and left. Weve never done that before. The items in the store are great, but the unfriendly atmosphere is killer.

The merchandise at this store is worth the trip, but the lady who runs it and her sidekick leave much to be desired. They are just plain mean. There are negative warning signs all over listing all of the things you cant do in there. The atmosphere is just deadly. If your cell phone happens to ring, they will yell at you, etc. One day I saw a couple drop off a truck load of great donations and then come in the front to buy something; they said, oh we forgot our coupon; can you just give us the discount? The storekeeper said, no, too bad. No one could believe it. That couple said they would never come back, after they put the jaws back up into position, that is. So, go there, the stuff is great. But if you want friendly people go to the real Wagging Tails shop on Gude drive. And there is a lot more stuff there, too.

There are many large pieces of furniture here and racks and racks of clothing. There were even some ethnic pieces! Yes, like the other reviewers have said, there are signs virtually everywhere in the store that say not to sit on things, ask for assistance, or "go to the library", but look beyond that and the staff is friendly. My only issue with the store is that it feels rather claustrophobic but thats not something the staff can really control. Gotta sell those Narnia-sized armoires somehow!! Ill be stopping by again sometime soon. The prices are insanely low even before the sales/discounts!

The staff isnt that great. I have been here many, many times, and the selection and prices are decent (much more reasonable prices than Waggin Tails in Rockville), but of all the times that I have been there, only once was I actually ever greeted upon entering the store. I have also donated, and the employee at that time wasnt very helpful, nor seemed to be very grateful or even interested in what she was doing. This same employee seems to be there most of the time, and she doesnt make the shopping experience very pleasant. If it wasnt for this, I would shop there more often.

There are a lot of nonsense rules here. I asked the owner about the no cell phone rule and she condescingly told me its because, its a nice store and we dont want to hear about peoples personal lives! She then asked me to leave the store because I was carrying an iced coffee. Every time I come here I feel uncomfortable because of all the ridiculous rules. Ive been twice and I will not likely return. Also, I feel slightly uncomfortable being here because the owner has some pretty horrific 1980s hair. But not everyone can have good hair... bless her heart.

I have always enjoyed this shop - clean, well run, well priced items. There is a good selection of things, household, clothing, etc. The folks here do a fabulous job and I enjoy shopping and donating to Life4animals. I wish all of you people who work for wagging tails would stop dissing this place, it is fabulous and you are just being obvious in your reviews.

This shop is beautiful and neat and the prices are great. The proceeds go to help animals so you are helping them and the environment (by recycling) by shopping there. The people that work/volunteer there are so friendly.

I love going into this thrift store. I always find something I need at reasonable prices. I also donate car loads of stuff. The people are helpful and fun to chat with. One of my fave thrifts in the area.

It is a clean and tidy place but the prices are a bit high for a thrift store.
