I have bought dozens of books at the shop and have a great backlog of enjoyable reading ahead of me. Thats probably the best bargain at this shop now because the "management" seems to have adopted a "price it so it hurts" attitude over the past year of so. Ive been visiting this shop for about 6 years and used to buy delightful and unusual items regularly. (The shop once had a large stock of memorabilia from the estate of Jean Dixon--the so-called fortune teller--that sold for next to nothing and I bought a chromed precision-cast model of a Caterpillar tractor that was commissioned by the corporation for their 100th anniversary. I paid $5 for a $100 collectible.) Sometimes (semiannually) they have a clearance sale that is a genuine bargain. Maybe some day they will go back to being a "thrift shop" but the watch word for now is "Buyer Beware".

For a thrift shop, this spot had a unique, though limited variety of options. Fur coats, old-fashioned hats, a million high heels, some jewelry, nick knacks of all sorts, a few treasures amid the various collections, dishware, books, decor, handcrafted items, too many lamps and candlesticks. . . However, the prices were quite high for a thrift shop. This particular organization, I believe, benefits a charity, so the prices may be justifiable. Everything seemed nice - nothing broken put on the shelves. Find out when the sales are (50% off everything, 25% off coats, etc) and try shopping during those times for the best opportunity to save, especially on antiques.

This is one of two authentic thrift stores in Bethesda. Everything else is a consignment shop. You can get so many things here for dirt cheap. I came here for fabric to make some Halloween costumes. I ended up buying a bunch of t-shirts since they were $1/piece. The volunteers here are also friendly and helpful for the most part. Its also just fun to stop by and see what they have every now and then. Sometimes youll find something you didnt even know you needed/wanted.

$1 for a hair band! Why go here when I can go go to tj maxx and get New* set of 3 for $1.99 And thats exactly what I ended up doing. My donations and my $$ will be going elsewhere. You should reconsider on accepting credit/debit we no longer live in the stone age. Other than that you do have a so-so variety of inventory for a very small opshop.

We have dropped more stuff here than you can believe. Its great to see some of your items end up back on the shelves. Great prices and lots of deals too.

Nothing special here, typical thrift store, mostly unwanted junk, not many gems to be found. Prices were okay but certainly not the best.
