I am an avid road rider and commuter and have been working on my road bikes for the last few years. I have used wheel base for the last six months and have been continually disappointed in their service and the demeanor of the staff. While their selection and service are both ok, the staff with a one exception has never made me feel welcome. While they may know more about bikes and bicycle repair than most of their customers that is no excuse for making customers feel stupid or uneducated. Their services are also very over-priced, almost double the other shops in town. Hey explained that my spoke replacement cost $50 because it was a lot of work to take the rotor and cassette off, a process which takes 2 minutes tops. Trueing a wheel takes time but dont give me a bogus answer to why a service is priced the way it is. I will no longer be using wheel base for my bicycle needs.

Tom and his professional staff really take the time to listen and fit the person to the right bike and stay within budget. I have been coming to Toms shop since 88 and have been elsewhere but always come back. Reliable and consistent. My most recent purchase was a Project One Trek WSD road bike which the team helped me design, select the appropriate options and fit to perfection. A cyclist dream come true! Will always stick with Wheelbase..

Its a free country. People know they can write bad things with few or no repercussions. But the two one-star reviews are, in 2017 parlance, the handiwork of FAKE reviewers. Seriously, not to be believed. If you are a serious cyclist with a high-value bike, theres no better shop in the area. Bar none. If you are new to the sport and looking for advice, the staff is supportive, instructive and realistic. Tom and Michael are the real deal.

The staff is extremely knowledgable and very friendly. The have the quickest turn-around time of any bikeshop Ive worked with. I recently tacod my Mavic wheelset when I was involved in a crash. They trued my wheels while I waited, they are now like new.....amazing! I will definately be returning to Wheelbase for all my future cycling needs. Matt Davis

First time customer today, needed emergency replacement of a broken cable that was difficult to fish out and replace. These guys were right on top of the problem, fixed everything perfectly, and had me back on the road in no time. I cant say enough about my positive experience with this shop.

Tom helped me find an obscure part for an old trek multitrack. He didnt have the exact thing, but it came close enough that we were able to figure how to cleanly modify it to be perfect. Good selection, good prices and very good staff. Great little shop.

Great shop, theyve been in the same location for a long time. Always accommodating to my needs; I have brought in wheels that need spokes in a hurry, or truing, etc, and they have done it in no time. This place feels the way a bike shop should feel.
