I also wish I had read the reviews before going to Marlo Furniture. I have however purchased from Marlo Furniture before, but it was a long time ago. This time is one I will never forget. We go to buy just a dining set, then I think about a living room set as well. Prices arent too bad with the discounts. So we go for it and decided to buy both a dining set and a living room set. Split the order in half to make their 0% deal work better, but somehow when they split the order, we found out later, they put our old address on one order and the new address on the other order. Keep in mind notes on both said to call my number, which they never called. I was also supposed to have a 30 - 60 minute lead time which never happened either. So, last week they tried to go to our old house. Called when they arrived, but called the wrong number, then could not drive 15 minutes down the road to the correct address. Then Saturday they said their truck broke down 15 minutes before the end of their 4 hour window. hmmm. The woman tells me the driver just walked in and told me "The truck broke down" And then today... I find out they called the wrong number again, but I get a call, they are at the house, not at 4 pm as discussed with the Manager on Saturday, but at 2:30 pm and no lead time call, but the guy can wait 30 minutes. So I fly out the door, call him on the way, twice no answer. Finally the driver calls me back. Im running a few minutes late, but I told him I would be there in 8 -10 minutes. He cant wait he tells me. Going to the store to cancel the entire order. Im done with Marlo. They will not have our money. They know how to sell the furniture, they obviously dont know how to deliver it. Not sure if someone didnt put the notes in right or others are not able to read the notes, but the overall incompetence of Marlo Furniture has been most annoying.

MY ADVICE TO ALL SHOPPERS, IF YOU MUST SHOP HERE RECORD THE WHOLE SALES EXPERIENCE BECAUSE YOUR WORD MEANS NOTHING WHEN THE SALESMAN SUDDENLY FORGET WHAT WAS DISCUSSED. Mr. Lee assisted me with purchasing a sleep sofa. I was hesitant because my house is older with narrow doorways and I told him of this concern. He told me that his delivery men could stand it on its side and slide it into the room. When I told him that I didnt want to be charged for delivery or restocking if it doesnt fit he assured me that the guys would take it apart and reassemble it if necessary. Since thats what happened with my previous sofa purchased from another furniture store I agreed to go ahead with the purchase. Needless to say it didnt fit and when I returned for a refund, the first time Mr. Lee remembered our conversation and said he would see if they had a smaller sleeper. They had none, the system showed none available and most discontinued. He said to go to the front for reimbursement. We were advised that the sofa had not been scanned into the system and we would have to return. Upon returning to the store a week later, I was advised that I have to pay for delivery and restocking. I asked to speak with a manager. I explained the situation and when he and Mr. Lee met behind the wall to talk the manager returned to say that Mr. Lee didnt recall our conversation. I was then told by the manager whom I believe was name Mr. Parham that its the customers responsibility to make sure that the furniture will fit not the salesman. I did not get my full refund and Im very upset to be charged for the mistake of the salesman and for him not having enough nerve to stand up and admit that he made a mistake so that I could receive my full refund.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MARLO. Management is by far the worst Ive ever dealt with in life. I went into Marlo and purchased a bedroom set with cash. David assured me multiple times that I could get a full refund if I cancel within 72 hours as I was indecisive. The next day after my purchase I received a call from Marlo stating that Mary(the MANAGER who checked me out) forgot to have me sign the invoice and that I would need to come in an sign. I decided I didnt want the furniture after all and would go somewhere else, then and only then is when Mary informed me that since I payed cash that I would have to wait 21 days for a company check and that this policy was listed on the back of the invoice that I never signed. Mary or David(maybe because he was busy trying to get my #) never informed me of their cash policy, had they done so I wouldve deposited the money back into my account and paid with a debit card. They are refusing to return my money to me sooner than the 21 days even though their MANAGER failed to inform me of the policy or even have me sign in agreeance. Go to the Better Business Bureau youll see that theyve never been a company dedicated to customer service. Its full of bad reviews on management. Never again will I ever step foot in a Marlo Furniture store.

My wife went to Marlo Furniture last week and she was 8 and a half months pregnant. Lynell gave her exceptional service and literally walked her through the whole store looking for couches until she was satisfied. He gave excellent customer service and my wife said he had great taste. The next item we need we will definitely go back to Marlo in Forestville. Also Ms. Jessie at check was kind and nice and offered us fast customer service upon check out. I had to come back in to write a piece on Victoria and Germaine from customer service. They know nothing about customer service and were awful to deal with - especially after my wife just gave birth a couple days ago. They were both extremely spiteful and uncompromising. I wish we had never purchased from Marlo and will never purchase from there locations again. The conversations with Victoria and Germaine warped into ego and who was going to win as opposed to remaining professional and getting me my furniture for which I paid about $4k.

I am so disappointed with this store words alone cant explained it. so after purchasing a set of coffee tables and end tables for my living room / basement along with a mattress cover and paid cash. everything was good until i got home and realize that the mattress cover was too small and it was not what I was looking for at all. I then return to the store to exchange for a bigger size { a cal king}. after searching through their entire stock I find out they did not carry that size in the store and ask to return the cover and get my money back. The manager told me I could not get cash back and i had to wait for three weeks for a check which would be mailed into the store and I would have to drive there to pick it up. This is completely ridiculous ! Beware of this store and their policy.
