Unmatched customer service compared to nearly every retailer I have EVER shopped!! (But 2pm on a Tuesday may not be their busiest time. Self employed and I try not to shop ANYWHERE on a Sat./Sun) They helped me find every item on my list except the one unique item they didnt stock (Star driver pan head wood screws (mounting smoke detector tamper resistant wire covers, wanted something other than Phillips or flat heat.screws). Items they did have waterproofing paint for masonry (stocked several waterproofing products for wood, masonry, plaster, etc., flat white spray paint, as large or larger selection of paints & spray paints as any box store. plungers heavy duty), 3 way plug (several different styles and types.) good stock of electrical items, hardware, tools and much more! (Good sales if you can catch them!)

Great experience every time! Very helpful and knowledgeable staff who are always available to assist. Recently, I went in for moving boxes but they turned out to be more expensive than expected. I talked to one of the young ladies behind the counter and she told me to come in Thurs afternoon and they would have a whole load of free boxes from the weekly inventory delivery. I came back Thurs and she immediately took me to the boxes and provided a bag for transport and within 10 mins I was on my way with about 15 free boxes!! Between this kind of honesty, their willingness to help, and the store-cat (Decker), this Ace really does embody the neighborly & family-centric values and way of doing business that Ace is all about! Keep up the great work!!

The customer service at Federal Hill Ace Hardware is excellent! I ended up losing a bolt on my bike and ended up stopping here. Upon walking through the door, I was greeted very nicely by a middle aged worker that led me through the aisles to get the supplies I needed. After walking for about 10 minutes or so, he rung up my total and explained a process to fix my bike easier! Overall, very friendly customer service within the store. And on top of that, to boot, they are pet friendly as well! There was a cat and a dog just wandering within the store!

Looking for a snow shovel...forget about it. Visit 1 - No snow shovels Visit 2 - No snow shovels, but well have them in tomorrow @ 2:00 Visit 3 next day @ 4:30 - No snow shovels For the life of me I cant understand why they dont keep them in stock. They could have a 1000 of them and they would still eventually sell them all. So Im taking my business elsewhere, which is a shame because I would rather support a local business than a big box store, but at this point Im tired of the run-around.

Trying to find the product I needed was not easy. To make things worse, the people there were not helpful at all. They didnt have enough of the product I needed, and I had to wander around the store looking for some simple washers. I will still be searching for the place where I can get the service I expect.

The folks at Ace have been great every time I have gone in. The store is well-stocked and clean, especially for a smaller city store. We have had screens repaired and purchased paint. They have always been very helpful--even when I needed to match a simple nut and bolt. Great hours, too.

Hidden gem in Baltimore! Best staff in the business and the store is awesome. They have a giant lazy cat that can typically be found sleeping somewhere in the middle of the store. Its so much easier to find what you need and be in and out, compared to a big box hardware store.

Great people, friendly, and they allow our sometimes rambunctious dog in the store. We generally just keep her near the front for everyones sake. Id rather support this Ace Hardware that is locally owned than drive out to the burbs or across the harbor for a big box store.

Since am in a wheelchair accessible is hard for me. So, sometimes I need help an there always helpful. I enjoy going to the hardware store because they always have what I need. I been in the area for almost a year and most of the workers know me by now. Lol

I have been in the Light Street store about a dozen times and have always found what I went in for. In one case a nice older gentleman (Mike) helped me find what I needed. It is very convenient to have a nice, clean hardware store in Federal Hill.

Employees are friendly and despite the smaller store size than home Depot or Lowes Ive always been able to find what I was looking for here. Plus they have a cat that roams around the store and is super friendly. Who doesnt love cats?
