visited the canton dogma for grooming and my dog couldnt wear a collar for 3 weeks because of a bald and lacerated area on his throat. decided to try the locust point location and when we arrived (after a confirmed appointment) was told that the groomer would not clip him due to a message from the canton groomer that "he bites". hmmmm, never laid his teeth on anything except ducks and geese - and, only when theyre in season. im sure there are enough hipsters and neo-urbanites getting dragged down boston street and fort avenue by their breed du jour that will keep dogma in business. enjoy....

ALWAYS welcoming and helpful, well stocked. Knowledgable staff. Excellent food selection: raw, freeze dried, canned & dry bagged. Mini bakery type treats, collars, leashes, harness etc. Plethora of dog toys, dog clothes, dog beds. The prices are good, your not paying more then retail on the dog foods. ( The foods arent big box store junk brands so there is a prive difference.) Clean dog washing stations too!

Took our dog to get groomed last week--cut WAY too short. In fact, cut painfully short in the genital area and will now be wearing a cone until the hair can grow back to a normal level. We thought it was a bit overpriced but figured it was all part of owning a dog that needs to be groomed. Will never go here again. Unfortunately, the groomer we used at different pet store moved out of town.

I go to Dogma to wash my dog. The convenience of the self-service stalls is awesome.The people who work there are always very friendly and often give him a little treat for being good for his bath. The selection of natural dog treats is very good and they offer selections from local businesses. I love this place!

Awesome little independent pet store. They have a good selection for their size, with lots for dogs and cats. (More exotic pets may need to look elsewhere, though.) Friendly staff are definitely a plus, and while I havent tried out their grooming services yet, its a bonus to have them on site.

Ive been coming here for the past year and Ive never had a bad experience. The people working are very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. The dog wash station is convenient and clean. Prices are what youd expect. Just remember, you get what you pay for. Their food selection is great quality.

This is definitely a boutique pet store. The prices are probably higher than the big box stores but you arent paying for the same product. Not only does Dogma carry better products but the staff is incredible and very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.

I purchase everything I need for my pet here. Always friendly staff, great quality toys that will last. Also a variety of safe chewing toys for my pup. Yes they cost more but knowing its safe for them is worth it.

Why is shampoo 20 dollars?!?!?! This place is a huge rip off, but if you dont care to spend 100+ dollars on a dog pillow, then this place is for you. The staff is great tho, like I said $$$$$$

Never had an issue. Ppl are friendly and helpful. Groomer is good. They gave samples to try out on my dog. And they remember my dogs name
