I have stopped at Rogers hardware About once a week for the last 20 years. Im always in a hurry just trying to get something to complete a job . The store must be under new ownership there seems to be a definite decline in customer service. The last 2 Times I have been there Ive wandered around for 15 minutes totally frustrated because I cant find what I need , or anyone to help , ive left empty-handed and frustrated twice , if I wanted an experience like that I would go to one of the big box stores

I have found that this hardware store often runs out of basic hardware items. For instance, 2 months ago I went to purchase a lock cylinder for a door. The hook was there on the wall, but no locks. When I asked an employee when theyd expect to get more, he said hed order one for me. He did. He ordered just one. I needed another lock cylinder a few weeks later, and sure enough, there were none on the hook. The same thing has happened to me here with door knob parts, heating registers, nuts, and washers.

I keep a boat slipped in Georgetown and every time I need either basic boat parts or standard plumbing supplies and various other items they always seem to have what I need. Today I called everywhere in Augusta looking for Paper paint mixing buckets to mix polyester resin in. No one had them, not even Sherwin Williams. Called Rogers they have them in 2 different sizes. Never seem to be able to stump them.

I LOVE THIS HARDWARE STORE. HANDS DOWN THE BEST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE ON THE PLANET. THEY ALWAYS HAVE WHAT I NEED AND A LARGE HELPFUL STAFF. THEY CARRY HUNDREDS OF LOCAL ITEMS MANUFACTURED IN MAINE AND DO EVERYTHING FROM SMALL ENGINE REPAIR TO PROPANE FILLING. THANKS ROGERS!!!!

I like this store because it is close to home & well stocked. They always have the items I need at a fair price, so why drive a long distance, when I can walk to Rogers Hardware store. The staff at Rogers have always been helpful. Not very likely at the Home Depot or Lowes .
