I went into the store for the first time and was appalled at the way that the animals were treated. All these small poor dogs cooped up in cages fit for maybe 1 or 2 rabbits! This POOR little guinea pig was sitting there terrified with only a bowl of pellets but NO HAY which is the main part of a guinea pigs diet! Her nails were so long that were starting to curl so I paid what they wanted for her and took her home where she is now happily popcorning around in a large 20 sq ft cage with 3 friends! The only thing I loved about the store was the price of their bales of timothy hay! Only 17.50!! I was super happy about that. But if I go into that store and theres another guinea pig getting treated the same way I WILL call the proper authorities!

I called the store to inquire if there was anyone on staff who was knowlegeable about gardening products. The gentleman I spoke with was very arrogant and rude. He would not let me complete my question no matter how many times I tried to ask it. I had planned to purchase a particular product from them, but Ill go a little further out of my way to Slidell Feed and Seed to get it. I am trying to support local businesses as opposed to purchasing it online, but I will not do business with someone who is so rude to their customers.

Bought a rabbit from them and a week later it died of a virus. When I went to tell them that they may want to check out the other rabbits the owner got a attitude and yelled and screamed at me and my daughter. I wasnt even going up there to ask for another rabbit or a refund just wanted to let them know that it sick. The owner got very defensive and mean to me and my daughters. I will not ever go back or recommend them to anyone.

Bought Bird feed. Normally we get it at the other feed store (Slidell Feed). Usually it lasts 1 1/2 weeks per large bag....it is the wild kingdom with all sorts of birds and the squirrels/dove on the ground eating what falls out/ or is discarded. 5 weeks later, the feeder was still full. No birds. We dumped in on the ground. No bird or squirrel would touch it. Had to scoop it up and throw it away.

Theyre more like a pet store trying to pose as a feed store . Their prices are too high and they dont carry hardly anything that a feed store is suppose to have . Their price for a chick is $6.99 , no way am I going to pay that when I can buy one for $2.50 in Picayune , Ms..
