They have always been very helpful. My first trip to the Edwardsville store was when my now almost three year old mutt started with horrendous diarrhea and vomiting.. after several trips to the vet, I finally decided it must have been his food. I spoke to the workers, and we actually dissected the food he was on at the time, ingredient by ingredient.. and eventually came up with a food that solved ALLLLLL his issues as soon as we changed it over. I have been going back for his food, and other things ever since. Especially when he started with environmental allergy issues, they had so many suggestions.. and I tried them all. Unfortunately, his allergies are too out of control and he is currently on several medications through his vet. I rescued a female toothless kitty las summer, who was just barely 3lbs and was about 6-8 years old. The workers helped me find a food that would work best for her, and help her quickly gain weight and help her become healthy again. They are always willing to hand you free samples to try.. which was so helpful especially when starting my dog on his food which was new to him years ago.. and for the stay kitty when we started her on a raw diet. I absolutely love this place! They have wonderful and extremely helpful employees and I have never felt "looked down upon".. Especially because I occasionally come in with some really stupid questions. Its nice to find a business so helpful and not readily shoving their products in your hands to purchase.

I love, love, love this store. Before I had purchased dog food at this store, I described to the employee that my dog kept going to the bathroom dozens of times a day. I was worn out from her constant need to pee. She suggested that it could be the sugar content from the dog food. She suggested a dog food from their shelf that had low sugar. Woweee!! Boy, was she right!! The drastic change was night and day. My dog became a normal dog with only needing to go outside a couple times a day compared to dozen of times. I was happily surprised with the results. I had another problem with the addition of a new puppy who had too much energy and tremendous anxiety. An employee suggested mental toys with treats in them. She also gave many variations on how to change it up in using them. She also showed me the snuggle me shirt used for anxieties with storms or being alone. Woweee!! More problems solved. The toys kept the puppy entertained (just a couple different ones and giving her different toy on different day with treat). The snuggle shirt fixed the anxiety. I could continue to give more testimonies on more problems solved, but there are so many. I have shopped at this store for a couple of years. Their amazing customer service and ability to helps solve problems gets a full five stars from me. Love this store!!

Ive come here for a few years now as this is the only place locally to get certain foods (since they have stores in both IL & MO they have a wider selections than their competitors as, for some stupid reason, not all foods are sold in every state even though we all live in the same country). I have found the service here to be lacking and at times I felt looked down on. I like to shop local so I really wanted to give the place a chance, but I cant say this would be a place I would willingly frequent.

Four Muddy Paws is the best, the staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. If they dont have it they will try to get it, its the only place we go to purchase our doggie food and supplies. They always take great care of us and our furbabies when we go in. Where else can you shop where its buy ten the next one is free, extra bonus. We highly recommend stopping by there and checking it out for yourself.

I WOULD NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER BRING MY DOGS HERE AGAIN....WATERED DOWN SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER....ALL THREE OF MY DOGS BROKE OUT....YOU DO NOT GET WHT YOU PAY FOR....AND COMING FROM A ONCE LOYAL CUSTOMER WHEN HAVIN A EMERGENCY DO COME HERE BECAUSE WHEN ITS 10 MINS TO CLOSIN THEY DONT CARE AND I DID A 30 MIN DRIVE FOR THIS SERVICE I WOULD NEVER WASTE MY MOMEY WOTH THEM AGAIN

Only self service dog wash in town and they never check in on their customers to see if they need any help or have any questions. Awful customer service. Their Zoom Groom was full of mold and the brushes were full of hair. Id rather stay at home and wash my dog in my own bath tub. Terrible experience, I wont be back.

I used to travel to their store across from Lafayette Park in St. Louis and felt so un welcomed that I have not bothered try the Edwardsville location. I chalked it up to racial prejudice or heterosexual prejudice, like so many other specialty stores in our area, nice to hear they are equal opportunity jerks. ;-)
