This store is my happy place! This store and all of their employees are amazing. They have set the standard for what a pet store should be. The animals are kept in habitats, not cages. The habitats are natural looking, spacious, clean, with plenty of hides, they rival setups at the zoo! Even the invertebrates have lovely habitats complete with live plants. The offer a wide selection of unique reptiles and invertebrates as well as supplies, foods, enclosures and just about anything you could need. Now, as for the employees...extremely knowledgeable and truly passionate about their job and animals in their care. All the staff that I have encountered has been outgoing, friendly, helpful and down to earth. They take the time to explain, educate, and go out of their way to make sure they have taken care of you and your pets needs.

The Tye-Dyed Iguana is a must stop for all exotic pet needs. Absolutely the best prices you will find anywhere. On price alone they beat both Petco and Petsmart and everyone else for that matter. Even after you factor in Petco and Petsmart reward/member perks they are still cheaper; oh and the Tye-Dyed Iguana has a free reward system of their own. However, what truly makes the Tye-Dyed Iguana stand out is the people who run it. Not only are they extremely knowledgable but they genuinely share a passion for what they are doing. They care more about the animals in the store than they do their bottom dollar and to me that speaks volumes. This can be seen in some of their rather unorthodox policies. (They refuse to sell any reptiles unless you can prove you have the means to properly care for. Bring in your UVB bulbs)

Great Store and great service, my son has been begging me for months that he wanted a tarantula and after months of begging I begrudgingly considered it, I am deathly scared of spiders and after taking a trip out there and talking to there staff in person and over the phone ( I had ALOT of questing) I finally decided to get on for my son a rose hair. My son loves it and the guy I talked to( I cant remember his name sorry) was spot on about this specific breed of tarantula it litteraly does nothing but sit there calm as can be incredibly docile, I even handled it which is a BIG deal for me and thanks to this store and great staff I think they started a new Hobbie for me and my boy, we are already doing recerch for the next one we want to get.

Cheapest crickets in town. I used to think the chain pet stores were the only (and cheapest) way to go, then I discovered this place. Bigger selection, cheaper prices and the staff actually know what theyre talking about. They take care of their animals and if we werent heading overseas Id buy more from them! Very attentive staff and its fun to pet the tortoises and look at all if the animals. My kids love to go there. They even host birthday parties! I highly recommend checking this place out, even if just to check out the tortoises, giant python and other fun creatures on display.

After being a Tye-Dyed customer for years I recently moved to Missouri and have been to several shops. I can promise you if youre looking for a reptile shop there is no comparison. I walked out of every shop but one due to its sanitary reasons. Along with that I have found staff very unknowledgeable and unfriendly. When you walk into Tye-Dyed you are greeted immediately with service, the cages are kept very clean and Matt and his staff are the most knowledgeable I have talked to. Im going to miss the shop.

Staff is very experienced in there trade. I bought my fire skink from there about a week ago. She is very active during the afternoon coming out everyday watching me threw her cage. She allows me to pet her head although they did warn me that she bites. Anyways all there animals look very healthy the shop is clean and well maintained. And the staff knows what there doing. I highly recommend this place to others. Any type of animal reptile amphibian arachnid are all commitments so buy one thats healthy.

Had a problem with an employee and wrote a bad review a few days ago. I shouldnt have taken it out on the whole company because of one employee. I have been a customer for about 7 yrs and have never had anything but good to say about Matt and his team. The problem was promptly taken care of. I apologize for letting a bad day for me turn into a bad day for everybody. Matt and his team are some of the best people I deal with. I will continue to do business with them.

I just found this place last year! Since finding it, it is the only place that I got for any of my reptilian supplys or questions! Friendly beyond belief! Clean Store! Everything you need or want! They even did an amazing Birthday Party Animal Show for my sisters birthday last year. The kids loved it to death. Even the ones that are normally terrified, held something at one point. GO HERE AND ONLY HERE!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was here a few years ago and now that Ive moved back to Ohio, I really wish there was a place as friendly and knowledgeable as Tye-Dyed Iguana here. Ive never seen a shop that keeps their reptiles so healthy and happy. A normal pet store has stressed out snakes in tiny tanks and chameleons with hyperactive kids trying to get it to react and it saddens me to see that. I definitely recommend this place for any reptile lover!

I have purchased three of my tarantulas from this store, One of my Tarantulas is in my display picture. You can see amazing quality of their exotics. Im their weekly to purchase feeder food for my Tarantulas. Awesome store, great staff, with insanely reasonable prices. I will continue to give business to the Tye-Dyed Iguana for my Tarantula hobby, Tye-Dyed Iguana is the coolest store around.

I had just bought a chameleon from their friendly store. They had great service not to mention it was friendly to. At the time we were rushing to get out of the store so we called ahead and they pre-made the cage and got everything ready for us. This is just another example of how good the tie-dyed iguana is the only place I will get any of my reptilian memorabilia

The staff here is extremely helpful. Unlike MANY exotic pet stores in the metro st louis area, these people take care of the animals they sell. The owner, Matt, is very dedicated in finding the right staff for his store and animals. I really recommend this store over any other exotic pet store I have ever been to.

AMAZING STORE! I have never seen a pet store that takes such good care of its animals! Their cages are like a work of art. Some of their prices are a little high, but all of their animals appear to be very healthy. If this store wasnt so far away Id go there all the time!
