Pens and Needles is an amazing tattoo shop. The artists there are friendly and professional. The shop is clean and the atmosphere is fun. They have some great talent working there. I can personally recommend Reese Todd. I have 8 tattoos on my body, and he did 6 of them. I have quarter sleeves and both of them are custom Reese Todd jobs. I havent used any of the other artists, but I have seen their work. These guys love to do custom work. You give them an idea of what you want and they can come up with the most amazing designs. I love this shop so much that I drive 2 hours to go there, when there are a couple of shops within 30 minutes of me. The drive is seriously worth it. If you are planning on getting a tattoo, I seriously recommend going to Pens and Needles. UPDATED REVIEW: I wrote a glowing review for this business 3 months ago. I now have to change how I feel. While I still feel that the artists there do solid work (the artist who I used is no longer there, but they still have amazing artists there), the person who operates the official facebook has really turned me off of the shop. I believe it is the shop manager, but could be wrong. Whoever it is, is completely unproffessional. They talk derogatorily to and about former employees through the facebook, where everyone can see. This is just shameful. The language used is extremely unprofessional as well. As soon as someone calls it out, the post disappears, so he obviously knows that it should not be done. The facebook page represents the shop as a whole and it makes the entire shop look unprofessional and rude. While I like he work the artsts do, I will not return there because of the the lack of professionalism just on facebook.

Pens and Needles Tattoo Studio is by far the BEST tattoo studio in Northwest Louisiana. The studio is very clean and sanitary, which provides the necessary environment for whatever your tattoo and piercing needs may be. I have been seeing Corey for my half sleeve. He has been great with me. There is a certain sense of professionalism that lets you know what they are there for...to provide you with the best tattoo possible that accommodates your vision. At the same time, you feel comfortable and be yourself. Curtis, the shop manager, is very professional and makes sure all appointments are maintained and the customer is satisfied to the best of their ability. The work is fantastic! Each artist brings something amazing and unique to the table. Each one of them has a specific style that can accommodate to your tattoo needs. I highly, highly recommend this studio to anyone who takes their ink seriously, and wants REAL art on their body.

Ive been coming here since March of 2015. I got my very first tattoo here and its been the start of a very memorable journey honestly. Everyone here is amazing at what they do and each have their own specialties so you always have variety. Ive gotten some really phenomenal tattoos from Destany, Nez, Lauren, and Ceasar, and Ive sat in on tattoos done by Austen, Paula, and Marcus. I can say with certainty that they only put out the finest work and that theyre a blast to be around. If youre unsure at all if this is the place for you or if youre maybe looking to get your first tattoo Id honestly recommend at least coming by and checking out their portfolios as well as the environment. Over the past couple years this place has become family to me, and I feel like thats a pretty unique quality for a tattoo shop to have.

I went there to get my daith pierced I was told to come back in a couple hours after she finished a tattoo I came back when she asked and was sent away again because she was finished then I came back again and was told to come back another day and then another tattoo artist was talking crap about my "Mom car" (my mini van) I have a van yes and I am a Mom but I can also have tattoos and piercing!!! They were WAY OVER PRICED for the daith piercing! I got my daith and my conch done plus a very nice tip for the piercer at Skin Works over on East Texas his name was Adam and he was super nice!!! Pens and Needles wanted way too much plus they kept giving me the run around. I just wanted my daith pierced to get rid of my migraines in it really works by the way.

I came in today and Reese was my artist. I wanted a pretty large shoulder/back piece that would also cover a tattoo that I was no longer fond of, Lol. I gave him a rough idea of what I wanted and asked him to draw something up. I didnt have any pictures to reference so he had to go off what I described. The tattoo he drew was 100 times better than I imagined in my mind! He did an amazing job on my tattoo! I still cant believe I have this amazing piece on me! He was also great to work with. Super nice guy! Everyone in the shop was nice and I think what I paid for my tattoo was very reasonable considering the high quality I got. Overall, I feel like my experience was ideal. It couldnt have gone any better. Ill be back for future work!!

The one star is because their studio looks good. We went in and spoke to Marcus about getting a tattoo fixed. He said he could do it easily and to send him information through email. After sending him emails of the original tattoo and pics of ideas of what we would like of the new one, he said we could work on something, but then we never heard from him again. We have sent follow up emails to him about where he is or if he is still going to work on the tattoo and still no answer. Apparently if you dont do it right then and there they dont want your business. When you talk to them face to face they act like youre a priority but when you are out of sight, they can care less. I would not trust someone like that working on my tattoo.

If you go to this shop, talk to Curt Nesbit. He did some trash polka work on me that I get comments on every day here in Virginia. Comments like: "Wow. Thats vivid color and an awesome tattoo. How did he work that in between all of that intricate work? Great tat man." Ive had a lot of my art done at this shop and recommend it highly. Between Curt and Cory, you wont get a bullcrap recommendation either. Theyll tell you straight and get you to the right artist for your tat. Oh. And they make the process fun too. Very engaging, very intelligent... great atmosphere. Beautiful shop too. Just like their tattoos.

Truly amazing place. The environment is very clean and professional, the artists are truly the sweetest people in the world, and the work that comes out of this place are perfectly priced and perfectly inked. From everyone between Lauren at the front to Corey the owner and everyone in between, these people provide the best hands-on customer service I have yet to see. One of, if not THE best shop in the shreveport, bossier, and haughton area. If you live within a 55 mile radius, this is the shop you need to be going to. Seriously.
