I went to get a new battery for my macbook pro. The staff was extremely rude. I was told Id be seen in 3 hours and Id get text notifications (one would tell me to be ready in 30 minutes and the next will tell me to go check in). I got the first text after an hour and 20 minutes. I rushed over there as fast as I could, but 10 minutes later I got a text saying to check in. And 6 minutes later they told me they skipped me. I was given 16 minutes instead of the 30 minute window I was promised. The man I spoke to said it was error and they would see me very soon. I then waited an additional hour and 45 minutes when I got there to be seen about my macbook. I finally encountered one nice employee, Matt. I left for them to fix my computer. I then spoke to Lindsay on the phone. She told me a new price to fix it and suggested that I pick it up to back up my files and then drop it back off. I went back to the store (hadnt even made it home yet from leaving). Spoke to Lindsay again. She was incredibly rude and lied to me. She gave me another price (even though when we first spoke it was a flat rate of $700, but now she told me it was a flat rate of $756). She told me when I pick it and back it up I cant drop it off because I need to make a new appointment and wait another 3 and a half hours on another day. When I asked her why she was lying to me, telling me 2 different prices and 2 different things, she rudely avoided it and sounded like a broken record saying the same thing over and over again. I was tired of her being so disrespectful to me, so I picked up my laptop and said forget it, I guess I have just wasted my day thanks for lying to me, and then noticed that 3 screws were missing from my laptop, causing the bottom corner to be open. She said they couldnt put them back, and they wouldnt give me the screws back (because at this point I didnt even want to bring my laptop back to be fixed because of how rude and disrespectful Lindsay was being and for her lying to me about it all). So now, I have my macbook, still needing a new battery and missing 3 screws. Now, itseems actually more broken than when I dropped it off. Now instead of just not golding a charge, itll turn off randomly if I slightly move it or put too much pressure on it, even slightly pressure does it. Now, I cant even backup my data because it keeps shutting off. Thanks, Apple. For ensuring that you broke my laptop further so Id HAVE to go back. Also thank you for having RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL employees, such as Lindsay, who lie to your customers.

I arrived and was immediately told I would have to wait around 2 hours to be seen. That wait turned into 3 hours. My phone was broken so I had to wait in the store this entire time to make sure I didnt miss the appointment. After such a long wait, I was told I was going to have to send my phone to the repair depot, and they quoted it to be returned in 3-5 days. However, that was not the case. 6 days in, I was yet to be contacted once. I called the Apple Store to find out what was going on with my phone. After 20 minutes of being put on hold over 7 times, I found out they had sent an email to the wrong email address, but hadnt contacted me otherwise. I was told to expect the email to arrive, which it never did. 9 days in without my phone, I call again (30 minutes of frequent holds) to find out that they never sent me the email that was necessary to move the repair process along. In fact, I found out that they never fixed the incorrect email address that was in the system. So the first 20 minute call was for nothing. They claimed to have found water damage in my phone, even though they didnt detect any at the Apple Store. The email I had never received was a re-quote, saying I would have to completely replace the phone. This entire time they were just waiting for me to approve a replacement, which should have been simple. The Apple Store truly wasted my time. If they were properly equipped I couldve known over a week ago that my phone was hopeless from the beginning and could have replaced it immediately instead of struggling with a temporary phone & the repair depot. Not only that, Apples extreme lack of communication within the company left me in the dark over my own phone for over twice the quoted turn around. I gave them my email address THREE times and I still never received the re-quote email. With the first call, the person I was on the phone with was obviously incompetent, since they obviously did not fix the issue they claimed to have fixed, effectively lengthening the time it took for me to find that my phone was just sitting in the repair depot waiting to be replaced. With the second call, I had to go through at least 2 people before I found someone who knew what they were talking about (Thank you, Matt).

I completely agree with Adam C.s review of this particular Apple Store. The system set up for reservations here does not work at all. Why should people who reserve a time slot be pushed back to accommodate those who stop by for an appointment? It seems counterintuitive... Anyways, I had to wait over an hour for an appointment and my problems with my Macbook Pro 15" were not solved. The Apple genius told me they would run tests overnight to diagnose the problems which they could not find. (I cant believe I had to wait an hour for me to just drop my laptop at the store!) I have been at the Apple Store at the Magnificent Mile in Chicago and several locations in New York as well and all the geniuses I met there had diagnosed the problem without me having to leave my laptop at the store overnight. In addition, I never had to wait over an hour with an appointment scheduled for an Apple "genius." On another point, whenever I call this Apple Store and my connection breaks in the middle of the conversation with the apple specialist/concierge, he/she never calls back even though they ask for my phone number in case something like this happens. Go figure! I thought Apple had excellent customer service, but I guess not. *As an update, I contacted the stores manager, Garrett S. and he was very unhelpful in providing any solutions for my Macbook Pro. He told me to buy the Apple Care insurance after my 1 year warranty expires in case my Macbook Pro encounters the same problems....Why would I buy a warranty that costs 300 dollars after I spent 2 grand on a laptop? I thought Apple sells quality products... It seems like Apple is only after your money. Apple Customer Relations over the phone was more helpful than Garrett! If you must have your Apple Laptop, iPads, etc. repaired, save your time and have the store send your equipment to the Apple Depot to be repaired.

Im very out done with Apple and changing our cells. 3 weeks ago my husband brought his iphone to the store because it kept turning off and saying it was not charged when it showed fully charged. The guy at the genius bar told him nothing was wrong with cell and it had a bad app icon. So they removed the app from his cell. while his cell kept doing the same thing but just not everyday. He woke up this am and it wouldnt turn on. The cell kept showing it needed to be charged. It had been on the charger all night. so we hooked it up to the computer. Still the same thing. I brought it in to Apple store today. 1st thing out the Geniuss mouth was it just needs to be charged. I told him it was on charge all night and even hooked it up to my computer to change! I mean how to make a person feel stupid!!!!! After that he still wanted to charge it. So i waited a hour nothing happened to cell. So after that it was my appt time. The other Genius walks up gets the serial # out of the cell. Tells me my cell is over a yr old. And nothing they can do for me. It would be a $199 service fee for a new cell. I asked if he could fix it or tell me what was wrong. He couldnt!!!! HERE IS THE KICKER IF THEY WOULD HAVE FIXED IT 3 WKS AGO WARRENT WOULD STILL BE GOOD!!!!! Apple has no clue how or what they are doing. WE NEVER BUY APPLE AGAIN!!!!! DRIVE AND WAITING THERE WAS A WASTE OF TIME! IT WAS BAD ENOUGH THE 1st TIME AND NOW A 2ND TIME!!!
