Absolute nightmare, DO NOT GO TO THESE GUYS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!! I Dropped of a TV to be fixed and was told it would be ready in 10 business working days just in time for the holidays and would cost a little over $200.00 with a warranty (cheaper than getting a new big screen). This was due to a part that needed to be ordered (power source?). I was told this is a common problem from a lightning storm and they could fix it. I waited 14 business days, and then I started to worry. I called in the first time to see if my TV was ready and he could not give me a straight answer, besides the part is still on order. He could not tell me the name of the part, the tech who is working on my TV, or the status. For all I know they forgot to order the part. Ive called them 3 times since and Im still waiting for my TV its been over 45 days. Each time Ive requested a call back and its never happened. The guy who answers the phone does not understand customer service nor does he take the time to find the answers. It seems like these guys just dont care. And if this is a reflection of their customer service, I cant wait to see what condition my TV will be in. Once again this whole process has been a nightmare!!

I had an unfortunate experience with AV Electronics when I had brought in my Playstation 3 in for repair. Yesterday, I paid a $30 fee for them to give me an estimate on how much repair services would cost for my situation. On the phone, I was told that they had dismantled it and then gave me an estimate that cost more then if I had sent it to the repair services at Sony Electronics. I declined the repair services and I was told that I would be notified once the system was put back together. Once I picked it up, I was dismayed to find that my system was not dismantled and was in the same condition I had left it in. The reason why I know this is because there is a warranty seal that had not been removed and that seal must be removed before dismantling the device. I can understand that it may not have needed to look inside the device to give me an estimate since the malfunction, popularly known as the "yellow light of death", is a common defect. However, I have lost my confidence in AV Electronics since the reported services were not genuine.

I had loose DC port (power input). Via my own eyes and web research I knew this was case. Later had it confirmed in 5 seconds via some skilled geeks. AV took apart my laptop for the $20 repair estimate. They gave me estimate of $185 plus $50 for rush. Rent-a-Nerd gave estimate of $150 plus $15 for overnight shipping for rush. I asked AV for my computer back. They said it was "scheduled for the next day." They had planned on doing the work the next day. It seems they assume that since you put $20 down, the vast majority have work done there. When I asked for my computer back they repeated that since it (the fix that I was refusing) was scheduled for the next day, it could not be moved up. "Scheduled!!". Put it back together. We arent proceeding with a business relationship. With a brain you didnt have to take it apart to give an estimate. The other stores didnt. Now youre making me wait 22 hours to put the screws back in my laptop. You dont own it. Im not asking you to hold it. Also, the person on the phone sound quite dense. Beware.

They took apart my laptop for the $20 repair estimate of broken DC port for no reason. The port was visibly floating around. You could tell it was broken. Rent-a-nerd accepted my self-diagnosis after 30 minutes web research and charged $60 less for the fix. The person on phone couldnt understand that I did not want them to proceed, and wanted my computer back. Then they said they would call me when it was back together. He was native speaker of low intelligence. Not good experience. Maybe they know TVs. Another reviewer here said they saved money with DC fix instead of motherboard, but that is obvious.

First kindly help me unload my big screen Plasma. As though i do have back problems and these people agreed to carry it for me, then kindly gave me a fair repair price. They repaired it within a week and gave me a discount because i was one of their known customers and i was a little low on cash. Then they kindly again load it onto my truck. Theyre kind, they help the needy, these are the people we need in this world.

AV Electronics can fix anything.....Highly recommended Excellent Service These people got my laptop repaired within one day and it wasnt as much as what the other places told me. They told me my motherboard was bad and find out that the power connector could be replaced for 10 times less than a motherboard. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

These people have been in business for over 25 years. They just fixed my LCD tv it took only 1 day. I would highly recommend them to fix your tv or consumer electronics.
