Where to begin? I had decided that I wanted to get my cassette deck fixed. I knew exactly what was wrong with it, but I wanted a competent professional to repair it for me. I needed to change the drivebelts on my deck. When I entered the business, no on was up front. I noticed the office was very unprofessional, old electronic equipment just scattered all over the floor. The place wreaked and was just filled with dust everywhere. The man in the back said, "Hold on!! Ill get to you in a minute!" So I am waiting and he finally decided to come up front. I told him what I thought the problem was with my unit and advised him that if it were going to cost over $100 to fix, I would just buy a new one. He said that he wanted $30 just to look at it. When I asked how much to repair if the drivebelts need to be replaced, he refused to even give me an estimate. When I asked him how much he charges for labor per hour, he still refused to answer me. I told him that his is flat out a rip-off if he is just going to take my $30 and make up some arbitrary amount as to what he would charge me to fix this. He told me F--- You!! and demanded I leave his store. I gladly did. Dont even waste your time with this incompetent, unprofessional, rude fool. Its probably better you just throw it away and get a new one. Honestly I dont know how people like this stay in business.

I am DONE with this company. I have been doing business with AV electronics for many years and am not happy about the technician NOT telling me everything that was wrong with my TV. I have a Sony SXRD 60 inch and needed to have a lamp installed. He did that but the quality of the picture had a green haze over it. He told me only to adjust through the menu. Got it home and did that only to do research on the internet to find out that I needed to have an Optical Block installed. I called the TV tech (the owner) and he says yes he knew that was what the TV needed but he doesn’t do that kind of work. Then why take my money for the lamp install and NOT mention that more work would be needed? This is not professionalism at all. AV electronics you have just lost a long and loyal customer. I sure hope you dont treat other customers this way. I normally dont write negative reviews but I really want this company to know that they need to straighten up their act.

Kept my amplifier for 2 months and every-time I call week after week they would say one more week, one week, one more week.I never did get it back.The company I bought the amp from apologized for AV Electronics bad manners and horrible service and the company sent me a new amp free of charge.AV Electronics is by far the least trusted and worse service Ive ever received anywheres.Ever! I read other reviews,and it seems to me like this place is just interested in your $30 deposit,although I did not have to pay one because it was supposed be warranty service I am sure the company they were servicing this through for me did pay something and they got nothing in return. Beware of places like this.This place does need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau.

First let me say that I am a Deputy, I do not work for any of the other electronic stores everyone is talking about on here, could care less! I took an xbox 360 in for repair. First let me say that I paid 199 dollars for this thing brand new! A.V. charged me 129.00 dollars to repair it!!!!!! So my way of thinking is you could probably replace every part inside the damn thing for that much money right?? I had my kid with me and he wanted it fixed right away of course. And I can understand that. It took weeks before I got it back. Im not kidding you on this one, after the 30 day warranty (on 129.00 dollars repair!), the damn flashing rings were going again...Terrible service! I would not recommend them to anyone.

Similar experience to others. Dropped off my Panasonic Receiver at the beginning of the week, and I was told I would receive a call by the end of the week regarding what needed to be done. I waited two weeks for a call and finally called them, and they said the repair was going to be nearly $250! The receiver is maybe worth $70-90 on eBay. The only reason I was even willing to pay to have it repaired is for sentimental value. The receiver worked somewhat before I took it to them, so I know that any repair shouldnt cost that much. I wish I had read these other reviews beforehand so I could have saved myself the $30 deposit.

Horrible experience. The owner quoted one price to repair both of my projectors and when work was complete (after a month of calling) the price had doubled. We had a verbal agreement over the phone, which will never happen again. Make sure you get it in writing! I filed a complaint with the BBB of Baton Rouge and of course nothing came of that. Save yourself from the same bad experience and go somewhere else for your electronic repairs.

Brought in a plasma screen tv, told the employee my problem, was told it wouldnt be a problem to fix and theyd call me after the repairs were complete. Four months pass, no phone call, I go back to inquire my repair status. The employee told me what was wrong with my tv (which I had already told them when I brought it IN!) and said they couldnt fix it. Complete waste of time.

This place has been in business for over 25 years. They have been able to repair all my consumer electronics needs in a fast and excellent price. They saved my last tv and spent only a small fraction of the price. I dont know what all these people are talking about but this is totally wrong. Just look at the number of years in service...... Highly Recommend

My very expensive Samsung TV was blown out when lightning hit a tree next to our house. I called and the owner was very honest about what it might cost. We dropped off the tv and he called the next morning with an estimate. It was very reasonable and he had the tv fixed that afternoon. Very very nice. Will go back and would recommend to friends!!!

I got my plasma TV repaired here and it works great now! Repaired it in minimum price! I recommened This place very well. And would do business again. I also have a xbox 360 with 3 red lights. They repaired it also!

Best game sytem repair service ever! They repaired my XBOX 360 and my PS3! I had a 360 with the red ring of death and a PS3 who froze up and they both repaired it with a great price!
