They saved my life! My work flash drive broke and of course I did not have the data backed up anywhere. I called multiple companies, both national and local, to find out if there was anything that could be done. The price quotes I received started at $200 and went up as high as $900 (!) I finally found Custom Bytes. When I went in Alex took a look at my flash drive and told me it would take him 2 hours and it would cost $125. Much lower cost than anyone else, and every other company stated I would have to send my flash drive off site to a lab for a few days. Needless to say, when I picked up my working flash drive and a duplicate drive with all of my files backed up I was ecstatic! I would highly recommend this company to anyone and have done so already. Thank you very much Custom Bytes for saving my life!

I was there yesterday after a power surge caused my computer to just shut down and wouldnt reboot. Its a desktop and I already had the side cover off when I went in. He hooked up something to my Motherboard and told me that it was shot. He then told me that my Motherboard was too old to replace so I would need a new computer. I had my suspicion that it was just my power supply and left. Today I had the power supply tested and sure enough thats what it was. Thirty dollars and my computer booted right up and works perfect. You would think that the VERY FIRST thing they would have tested would have been the power supply. Ill never be back. I had already had a prior bad experience with this place but since they were the closest I thought Id give it another shot.

I first came to Custom Bytes in 2010 or 2011 with an ancient Dell PC that I was sure was just dying a horrible but natural death. Much to my surprise, the gentlemen at Custom Bytes fixed it in a matter of hours. I left with a working computer and a new video card for a very agreeable price. Since then Ive been referring people to them every chance I get. Well, just two weeks ago the new computer that I bought to replace the poor, old Dell started having heat and performance issues. Obviously, I remembered who to take my computer to. And sure enough, they fixed it for a price that most definitely can not be beat in the city. Thanks again Custom Bytes.

I have 2 years old HP laptop. Recently I cracked my LCD. I called HP they quoted me $425. Then I went to couple local computer stores but none of them had part in stock and price was about $275. Computers Plus across the street tried to tell me that I need new laptop and mine is not worth fixing it. At Custom Bytes guy named Alex told me that my laptop is just fine and it took him 20 min to replace my LCD. He only charged me $225. I been using my laptop for about 6 month after repair and it works like new. I had good experience with Custom Bytes. Thank you Alex.

Toshiba : after having a phone call with Toshiba corporation customer service center. They said that my laptop less than 30days old had to be sent to California and i had to pay shipping for a piece of junk... I asked for a authorized local service providers for Toshiba. They emailed two places. 1) custom bytes inc and the 2) uptech computer. Not any of the service location in Louisville, Ky would not preform the work Toshiba said that they would do. So i strongly would not recommend services or products from Toshiba or the service location they recommend.

I had a toasted motherboard and dropped my laptop off here for service. From the get go, I encountered and incredibly rude staff member whos serviced was delayed while he daughter got off the computer. A simple motherboard replacement took 34 days. The same staff member answered the phone every day during the week and apparently got to know me as I checked on the statue of my laptop. He was very rude each day, and I was charged a ridiculous amount for the job done and amount of time it took. I advise you to go elsewhere if possible.

Ive used Custom Bytes several times and have always been satisfied. Most recently I had to return to have a power supply replaced from a repair done earlier in the year. They replaced it no questions asked and while I waited. Great service! Edit 8-15 * Upgraded my laptop to Win 10 and after a reboot the laptop said there was no operating system. Since I was dumb and hadnt made a restore disk I took it to Custom Bytes where they were able to get me going again. Another positive experience.

Excellent, fast, reasonable service. After replacing a "broken hard drive" at another shop with a "geeky" name, I was unable to restore some important files. Took the old hard drive to these guys who saved all my files, put the information of a stick and charged me half the price the other shop had quoted if I was unable to restore any files. They were very polite and most helpful. Furthermore, they found the hard drive functioning properly, with the problems caused by a virus.

Alex is amazing! I came in today with a weird computer issue, a broken USB-to-motherboard connector. Alex walked me through my issue and went way above and beyond to get me back to a working condition. He was super helpful and insightful, and most of all super polite! This is so rare in the computer industry! Alex is a shining example of what a computer repair shop should be! I am recommending him to all of my friends.

My friend and I were in desperate need of some Thermal Paste, we called ahead of time after being sorely disappointed with lack of knowledge at some other stores, the man working knew exactly what we needed and had it ready when we got there.
