I just wanted to compliment the Costco Lexington staff on their extremely friendly and helpful service. Despite the fact that they had sold out of the item (a foosball table) that we were looking for, Luke (Sales Associate) went out of his way to find a solution for us by offering a discount on the floor model. Eric (Manager) spent a good 20 minutes with us discussing the deal and rounding up staff to help us take the table apart and nicely pack it up for transport. Elliot and several other associates came to our aid while Eric helped us hold the (heavy) top portion of the table off the ground as Elliot wrapped it up. We then had yet another friendly associate help us load the table into the back of our truck in the freezing weather. When we offered him a tip, he politely refused and sent us on our way. Simply put, I wouldnt expect this level of service at a local store whose key selling point is customer service, much less a giant national chain store like Costco. Every associate that we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, calm (despite the crazy time of year), and fun to be around. Eric especially knows how to properly manage a team by not only leading his employees, but also working alongside them. I was especially impressed by that. Before this experience, I was skeptical of Costco in general, simply because of its shear size and corporate nature. But the team at this location did a great job of showing that, with the right staff, any store can be hospitable.

Have waited so long to finally have a Costco in Lexington. Love the wide selection of organic food, all the tasty prepared dishes I can pick up when I dont want to cook and the great prices on everything are wonderful. The one thing I am really disappointed with are the hours the club is open. While it is called a wholesale club there is no possible way as a business owner I can use the club for my buying needs. I would think wholesale means catering to businesses but it seems Costco is definitely meant for private buyers which is fine for me but I would not recommend anyone getting a business membership. From a personal standpoint I would love to be able to shop before work or late on Saturday or Sunday but closing at 6 PM, especially on Saturday proves to be extremely limiting.

These days finding a caring person is really a mystery! Customer service is getting downgraded badly! Now if we find any person who cares about others it is our responsibility to thank him/her to show our respect. Alex is the manager who really took care of our business last night 10 minutes after the store closing hours! We had a catering in Lexington and my crew forgot to take the serving plates with them. They were far enough to not make it there before the store closing hours, they called the store ahead and talked to Alex, he helped them get what they needed from the store and everything went awesomely great because of him! Thanks dear Alex, God bless!

Amazing value. Good quality products backed by an excellent return policy at great prices. Additionally top tier gas that is always competitive. Best place to buy a TV. They also have a tire center and their samples will certainly entice you. Costco is a more ethical alternative to Sams club (owned by Walmart) as they treat their workers much better and have a selection of organic foods which are always clearly marked. The one odd thing is their payment policy. They only accept cash/check/debit card and one type of credit card, currently American Express but this is soon changing to Visa.

Signed up for a membership a few days ago went to try it out the store had some pretty awesome things. However, the cashier was rude, and after checking out we noticed our bill seemed low thinking we just got a good deal, we did not think much more. When we got to the door to have our receipt checked come to find out he did not scan one of our only four item and we where basically accused of trying to steal, very embarrassing! We immediately cancelled our membership even though they did not want us to cancel and proceeded to tell me what a minor mistake it was. We will not be returning!

We love, love, love Costco!! The customer service is outstanding, the prices are usually low on most everything, and the staff is so much more professional and helpful than other places. We are from WA state, and we have been shopping at Costco there forever. We were ecstatic when they built the Costco here in Lexington rather than having to drive to Louisville! Thanks, Costco! Keep up the good work, and we will keep spreading the news. It seems like people here in Lexington do not understand how cool Costco really is! They are missing out.

I love Costco! You have to be somewhat strategic about what you buy at Costco, as it is a bulk item styled warehouse store. If youre shopping for primarily groceries, as I do, lean toward frozen goods, unless youre positive you can eat all of the fresh items you buy before they spoil. With kids, fruit and things tend to move quickly enough that I will buy grapes, strawberries, blueberries, etc. My favorite place for groceries, and then I fill in the smaller quantity items with somewhere else.

I just lost my GPS inside my parked car which is very near the entrance door of COSTCO. My friend and I went inside the store for 2 hours thinking their parking lot is safe and when we returned GPS was gone. Tried to ask management and all they could tell me was, There is no surveillance camera mam. Im sorry but I cant help you. Really Costco? We pay for a yearly membership and you couldnt even buy a surveillance camera to make sure your customers are safe?

Id give a 0 star if I could. I think its ridiculous that all gas station lanes go in one direction. I did not care for having to drag the pump across the top of my car or the employees snarky rude attitude! Train your employees on how to treat your customers. I will not renew our membership again even though we pay for the gold star membership and spend thousands of dollars in your store each year. Ill check with Sams club and see what they offer.

Below Costco standards. The photo center is particularly inadequate. Rather than putting larger photos in alphabetical order, customers must dig through a pile on a table. At other Costcos where Ive shopped the photo center stamped the envelope "paid," but not here. You have to dig out your photo receipt at the door. Youd think that Costco would make sure things were done properly and uniformly at all stores, but thats unfortunately not the case.

Switched membership from sams and it was worth it. They seem to have a more items and prices are generally similar or cheaper. The staff is friendly and some of the sample vendors are funny. It might have to do with the company actually taking care of their employees. That should be a hint to other companies, if you value your employees the employees will value the company. Recommend anyone who has sams membership to go and see for yourself.

While I like the Costco store itself, I had Lexington Blinds and Shutters come to measure for shutters and while Mary Drury was alone in my bathroom she went into my vanity drawers and stole several pieces of gold jewelry. She also unlocked a window that I told her I never opened the blinds on. I guess she was planning on coming back.....Costco employee told me theyre not responsible for the vendors they promote. So beware!
