The only good things that I can say about this Walmart is that the prices are low and I can normally find what Im looking for. Typically, the store is somewhat tidy. Shelves do get messed up, but its a big store and Im sure its difficult for employees to keep up with items that customers drop off in areas where they dont belong. However, the bathrooms are always FILTHY. As for customer service, this is where the stars really fall off the score. There are never enough lanes open in the evening hours. Thats the #1 complaint I hear from everyone who shops at this store. I complete agree and wish that they had a few self-checkout lanes. Even more importantly, the employees take no pride in their jobs at all. Many times, the cashiers are arguing with another employee, complaining about their hours, or just dont talk at all. There have been a few random, sparse times when Ive come across a great cashier and I make sure I compliment his/her friendliness. Thats definitely not the norm. Also, Ive had repeat encounters with employees that are pushing large carts of boxes around the store. They dont yield to any customers. They push their way through areas of customers without politely asking people to move. They will literally run you out of the aisles to get where they need to go and not apologize if they run into you. The other employee complaint that I have about this store is that their employee smoking area seems to be right at the front door. Every time I go there, there is at least one employee smoking right in the path of the front door. If I was the store owner, I certainly wouldnt want that to be the customers first impression of what to expect. I cant just blame the employees though. The managers definitely arent teaching these skills and someone probably hasnt taught them either.

Management is rude here. Months ago, three or four managers were talking up front when there were lines of 5+ people in each lane, some extending to the clothing areas. I was a vendor here and as I passed them one of the managers(she was a woman not that it matters) said You cant use carts youll need to put that away right away. The lady didnt look my way when she said this, I had to ask, "Maam were you talking to me?" And she re-iterated the statement without politely saying sir or looking my way at all. She also stated, "Carts are only for customers," and went about socializing, all while customers complained about there not being enough cashiers. Well, since she asked, there were no vendor carts in the back, and I bring in like 2 to 3 carts every time I enter the store because her customers are too lazy to take their carts to the corral. Guess what! I -WAS- a customer, but now Im not. tldr; Management is lazy, so are you.

I had a horrible experience at this walmart. The lines are sosososo LONG, for some reason they think it is okay to work only 2 Cashiers a night. They have 26 lanes with 4 open sometimes only 2. I saw the store mangaer walk up, look at all the customers, ask if someone called in... and walk back to his office, not doing anything about it. I saw many times, managment yelling at the cashiers. I have had no bad experience with the cashiers. The store is always under stocked and is out of everything I need. I have had to wait 30-45 minutes just to have someone come ring up my alcohol.... I have decided NOT to shop here any more!

There was a customer with two dogs in the shopping cart while in the food section. After discussing with management, there was nothing to be done, despite this being a violation of the Food and Drug Administration. I was told they are not allowed to say anything cause corporate is concerned about offending someone. The physical appearance of the store was clean, but the true cleanliness is questionable given the stores stance on allowing all types of animals in the store, especially in the food section. Thats just not clean.

Took a bus there yesterday from Newport, I hate target. A few customers actually engaged in friendly conversation with me, the help answeared all my questions and were in no hurry to leave, I found strawberry crush, vanilla Pepsi, Kelloggs cinnabon cereal, and other favorite things nobody else has anymore, and they were all fresh, so I give 5 stars! Im patient, so I dont mind waiting in line, other people got to shop too.

Tried buying tires here 3 days in a row, they dont make appointments, were booked up, and then they said they had no staff yet while I was outside calling other places they pulled someone in. Ive had to return bicycles here multiple times due to buying them with bent rims. I also bought a Bluetooth adapter here that was trash $30 wasted (my fault I lost the packaging/receipt). Probably best I got my tires elsewhere.

Normal Wal-Mart selection. Sometimes you get good help, other times not so much. My kids got yelled at for trying out the bikes before they bought them. Sorry we dont like to buy something based on looks. Almost always a wait of you want a real person to check you out. Usually only 2 or 3 cashiers. Its OK but nothing exceptional. I wouldnt go out of my way to,go here.

My entire experience in the Alexandria Ky. Wal-Mart was there most unhelpful, rude, and downright dissapointing time I have ever had. We asked a female employee for help and she just turned her head and walked away without saying a word to us. If I wouldnt have had to go to the hospital for testing I would have found a manager to report her behavior.

WHY is it that they spend the money to put 30 cash registers in the store, but ONLY EVER have like maybe 3 of them open at one time? And Im talking about the DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS! Are you KIDDING me with this? I soon in line for 40 minutes to buy 1 little thing, I should have just walked away and went to Walgreens across the street.

First time at the Alexandria, KY WAL-MART. I was very impressed how clean and organized eveything looked. In addition, the WAl-MART Associates were very friendly and helpful throughout the store. Also, the self-check out was easy. and there was an Associate available to help. Would love to shop here again. Thank you very much

I really like this location. They seem to frequently have lingering stock of sale items. Service is extremely good, particularly in the weird areas, like paint, sporting, electronics... the places where Ive had to call the store and request assistance at other locations.

Parking lot cleaning store seem to be clean nice large aisles to shop however it seems to be a Walmart policy or rule not quite sure what it is but there is never more than 3 maybe 4 registers open which makes it difficult to get in and out if youre in a hurry
