My doctor told me I needed shoes that had better mid section support/balance support, I found a pair of running shoes with all of that for $79.99 without tax compared to another store that was going to charge me $165 and that was without taxes. Found a good sturdy backpack on to his trip as well... I also found good deals on camping gear during my past visits... I do enjoy my visits to Academy Sports.

Bought an elliptical here, we called before showing up to verify they had one in stock. They told us they did. When we arrived the associate they had nothing. Called back the next day to see what location had it. The associate offered display model. Would of been nice if they would of did that the day before. Second time around was much better.

Employees could go more out for their way to ask if I am finding everything ok and say thanks for shopping with us or something as Im leaving. I have been in twice and the first time, there was a price dispute and the employee did not offer to check it out. Second time, I was pretty much ignored as I shopped.

Good selection of all kinds of sporting gear. Went in for an air mattress. Did some research online and found a good one. There was no option to check store availability. They had a chat option to check but the wait was over 10 mins. They had what I needed in the store and on sale.
