Although the employees at Petland were very nice I would never recommend buying a pet there. All our other animals came from Helping Hands, I like rescuing. Yes, the warranty sounds good. Our puppy was coughing and we were told she had a respiratory issue. We assumed she was being treated. When I picked her up the next day I was told that if she was sick enough to be quarantined from our other pets their vet would recommend hospitalizing her. I knew that was not true, but I just bought an adorable puppy and there was no looking back. So I immediately took her to their vet, who prescribed medicine that they paid for, her paperwork indicated that she was not being treated although they knew she was sick. Their vet was "not a fan" of the food Petland recommended and gave me a bag of Science Diet. So the warranty is thus void, and the meds they prescribed can cause stained adult teeth. I did rescue her, but it was an expensive rescue. Petland has a bad reputation for a reason. Dont support them!!! The other side of the story is that I had finished treatments for breast cancer about 3 weeks before we went to Petland. I thought a puppy would distract me from worrying about reoccurance, which is highest for me in the first 2 years. I justified the cost of the puppy with helping my recovery and getting a breed that I had always wanted. Now in addition to the worry of my own health, I worry about the health of my puppy.

Let me say ive bought 2 dogs from a different location and never have seen any issues, but this location is so messed up. Ive herd horror stories but never from anyone close to me! In the last year i had a friend recieve a dog as a gift and it was love at 1st sight unfortunately after many complications from bringing him home with pnuamonia to the blood disorder petland didnt disclose the poor guy died and it was so sad to see my friends family get passed back and forth fighting for the pet warranty after being threatened to not help until all negative comments were removed from any public pages and being blocked from posting or commenting on their business facebook page they finally in the end upheld the warranty but they had the worst customer service. Please turn back, find a personal breeder or adopt dont shop. After watching the tears and heartbreak i will never buy another dog from petland corporation and i urge you not to either!!

Jocelyn was so helpful! We had such a great experience buying a doodle! EDIT: (Jocelyn no longer works at Petland, however I am left to suffer the consequences. These good reviews are also fake as they bribe you to leave a review at check out- beware!) I never received the AKC registration papers I paid for, and even had to pay an additional $7 for postage, as I live in Texas. I got a call 3 months later informing me that my puppy is NOT registered, and they want to refund my $7. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I would NEVER have paid $3,000.00 for a puppy that was NOT registered! These stores get their puppies from PUPPYMILLS! They are fraudulently selling "registered" dogs. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ANIMAL FROM PETLAND! I will be pursuing legal action as this is consumer fraud and a misleading business practice.

Worst place to buy an animal. My wife purchased a cat from them we were told the cat was seen and checked by the vet. Given a clean bill of health take cat home and it has diarrhea and blood in stool. So took them to my vet and was told cat had a parasite and it should have been identified with the vet check given from Petland. I called them said it would have to be seen by their vet the same one who gave it a clean bill of health. This store is a joke and should be shut down. I should have just adopted a cat. To the mangers of the store you guys should look for another job cause if it was my company I would have fired your ass a long time ago. Take pride in your work..

Since theyve moved to the mall the care & attention for anything other than their puppymill puppies has diminished. Every time i visit the store theres people harrassing the birds (which most have a sign that says dont handle) and chasing the rabbits and g-pigs around their cages. The few employees there either dont care or dont have the guts to educate people on how to respect animals. Heres a clue- if they run, they probably dont want to be held! Ive never appreciated Petco and Petsmarts closed cages more than when i see this disgraceful, pitiful place. Step up and speak for the animals, its the least you can do since word is spreading of your mill mutts.

After paying $2300. for a AKC long haired Chihuahua puppy at Petland, I discovered the average market price for them is $500. to $800. I have never felt like such an idiot. Do your research. Besides, the pup sneezed a couple times while I was purchasing. I told the worker he sneezed. His reply was: "Just a sneeze. Thats all". Within a week he was diagnosed with a cold and cough. A few days later he was hospitalized for pneumonia for 6 days. Hes still getting over the cough and Ive had him a month. I have had to put potty training off because hes been too sick. I feel so ripped off. Do NOT buy a pet from Petland.

I had a great experience with pet land employees. The only issue I have is where my dog came from. After finally searching through my paperwork I found out my dog came from a puppy mill. The registered breader was Steve Kruse. He has multiple states he sells from including Flordia, Iowa, and Illinois. Im beyond disappointed that Petland would get dogs from a puppy mill that has citations and now is closed! I paid over $3200 for my dog who will more than likely have many problems in his future. I will never buy another dog from there!

Jocelyn was amazing, she was so informative and made the process for picking out toys and needed items for our new puppy; so much fun! She was very relatable and you could talk to her about anything; I probably talked a little to much. But this store clearly cares very much for their animals and offers a lot when a dog is purchased even if you dont you purchase an animal they will offer great advice needed for any pet you may have! The staff is so great and was very nice when it came too our two kids! Definitely love this store!

This is a great place to go, whether you are looking to purchase a pet, or just have some fun playing with the animals. The staff is excellent, and very knowledgeable and show personal attention the animals. Before I came here, I researched to see where the puppies came from and was glad to see that they did not come from puppy mills. I have came here many times and I am always greeted by kind staff members. If you want to buy an animal, I highly recommend going here!

reserved a Bengal cat in this store, total around 1100 usd, paid deposit. Waited for 3 month and told me they cant find one fit the description base on the contract, except give them 2000 dollar more. They said they will refund me next day, now after one month I still didnt get my money back, terrible service. Please avoid this place, unprofessional staff, poor service. Its more easier to find a breeder rather than let petland help you to find an ideal pet
