I NEVER take the time out of my day or life to sit down and write a review but I had to this time. Ive always been skeptical of who/what company I leave my dog in the care of... I let down my guard this ONE time and I will NEVER do it again. I trusted the grooming department to take care of my grooming needs and requests for my Great Pyrenees and I was extremely, extremely unhappy and disappointed at the outcome. First off, the employee didnt even ask to see my dogs rabies vaccination history (I had to ask him if he needed it), secondly the employee didnt seem to care or pay much attention to what I was even requesting him to do to my dog--showed him a photo and he looked at it for about two seconds, third he told me it would take 3-4 hours and it ended up taking SIX hours and he didnt even call to update me... I had to call him when it had been 4.5 hours. When I went to pick up my dog his cut was horrible. I asked for a full shave (with the exception of his tail) and they left his head very fluffy which looks ridiculous. Not only did they leave his head fluffy, the lines around his face are jagged and just completely jacked up. He doesnt even look or smell as if he got a bath (which I paid for him to receive--ears and face still dirty looking). This just proves that you get what you pay for I guess.... I usually take him to an actual groomer in Old Katy, but I was in a hurry and Petco was about $30 less expensive. I will never ever trust my animal to Petco again. I felt bad for the groomer/employee because it was Memorial Day and he seemed to be the only one working in that department.... I didnt feel comfortable complaining because what if he messed my dogs coat up even more?? Truly disappointed.

Pet Co, ADDRESS; 513 S Mason rd, Katy Tx 77450 9/06/2012 Injured my dogs leg today, wile grooming her. My wife took our jack Russels in for there bi- monthly grooming. they have been groomed at this location since 2008, s mason rd katy tx 77450. Our dogs are very well behaved and there has never been any problems at all. Today we were lied to by the girl that groomed our dogs , after all these years we were told that pet co located @513 s mason rd katy tx 77450 will no longer be excepting dogs over the age of eleven. when we brought this to corp attentions , they stated we have the right to refuse service. It appears that they have injured my female dogs leg, ( daisy ). She nipped at the young lady after yanking on the dogs front ,right leg so hard she is know limping. our female jack Russel ( daisy ) has a very bad limp , after living the pet co. my dog is now injured, she walked into pet co and barely could walk out. I find it a bit odd, because the girl that groomed my dogs completely finished and was paid in full. Wife was trying to leave with the dogs and the female could barely walk on her own. Thats when the young lady said that pet co was no longer going to be grooming OLD DOGS. VERY RUDE!!!!!, THIS PERSON IS NO PROFESSIONAL AND HAS NO BUSINESS GROOMING OTHER PEOPLES DOGS. We are going to have to take the dog to the vet and see what is wrong. JUST CARELESS PERSON AND IS TRYING TO COVER UP THE INJURY TO MY DOGS LEG. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN IF PEOPLE ARE SMART THEY WILL STOP GOING OR NOT GO AT ALL. .

I shop at several stores to buy mealworms and superworms to feed our state bird, the Texas Mockingbird. I breed worms all year for breeding season but have to supplement and usually spend several extra hundred dollars a year on worms for the mothers and babies that come to my house for worms. They do not eat seed. Usually, Joseph, one of the managers is kind and helpful and will usuallly give me a small break for buying in bulk (25 to 40 bins) just like Academy, Petsmart, WalMart and other Petcos. Last week, I bought $179 in worms and asked SHAY another manager for a small discount for worm death and also customer theft of the worm bin contents. He was incredibly rude and condescending and said, "Well, I am not *INCLINED* to give you a discount, it is just the nature of the beast." (death and diminished boxes) and then turned his back and walked off. Today, I went to Petsmart for $395 in cat supplies. I wont go to Petco if SHAY is there. I have a resale number and could buy directly from the supplier if I wanted to, but I went there because I used to like it. Not any more. Ill take my business elsewhere. Horrible customer service from this sales person, Shay. Very unprofessional, horrible customer support, unkempt appearance and other sales people appear to be afraid of him.

I wish I didnt even have to give it a star. I love hamsters, to be exact Teddy Bear Hamsters. I bought my male from them and decided to buy a female as well [not for breeding purposes, but my fiance had his male an i wanted a female]. When I went to get my female, their cage was so over crowded. If anyone knows the teddy bear species it is not good for them to be together in cages in such high numbers. They ALL had wet tail, and it looked like the cage hadnt been cleaned in WEEKS. Im so sensitive to any animal being mistreated, I approached the manager to let him know that the hamsters were all sick and it needed to be cleaned. He came back rudely yelling at me "their cages are cleaned ONCE a week and all of them are appropriately taken care of!!!" I told him almost crying that if you have 10 in ONE small cage with wet tail they all get wet tail and could die, and cleaning it once a week isnt enough. He yelled back "if you know so much about them then buy them all!!" The manager is extremely RUDE, he doesnt care about any animal in the store and doesnt properly train his staff.... I am now driving to the other side of Houston to find my female teddy bear hamster.

I just purchased a box of 2 male dog wraps. When I opened them I sat them on a table nearby. After a while I noticed a strong odor like urine and some other strange scent coming from somewhere. I had just bathed my pup and was waiting for him to dry before putting on the wrap. I went to grab one and put it on and realized the odor was coming from the wrap. I immediately went to sniff the other wrap and it also smelled of urine. Absolutely disgusting! I did not pay $20.00 to receive a used product. I needed the wraps tonight as we are staying away from home and my pup likes to mark things. But, the wraps are now in the washing machine and he is in his crate. So sad. Petco needs to be more careful about inspecting the items that are returned to them. Extremely disappointed as I have had other decent experiences at this location.

Worst experiance, if youre about to be 18 and have bought 100s of dollars of merchandise and have been going there for years and suddenly they refuse to sell anything living because of the fact, they believe you will automatically kill it for fun is the mind set. Problems are taken care of quickly but they are all able to be avoided. I can no longer send my daughter by herself when shes about to be considered an adult instead I have to go with her who already drives provides the money for her buying and plans the day to go out there but they believe she still needs to be accompanied by someone who is at least 2 months older than her (her being 18 in that amount of time)
