I went in to get 3 Friday night pizzas @ $5 each, as advertised all over the front of the store. This is not something new, as we have had them many times and really do love them. However, the staff left a lot to be desired. There was not a sausage in the case, so asked for one to be made. I was assuming he knew which pizzas I was talking about. I did have a Triple Cheese in my hand and wanted a Italian sausage as well. I waited while he made it for me. Then went to check out and was told it was $15 + tax. I explained they were the Friday special pizzas. I was told no, they do not do that and these were not $5. I asked for a manager, the manger was actually quite rude. He argued that what the checker had told me was true and that there was not any $5 pizzas. I was very upset, trying very hard not to show my distress and anger. I was being made to feel like a fool and trying to get away with something. The checker was very nice about things, but the manager did not handle the situation very well. He was argumentative and rude. To top all of this off I was entitled to fuel savers on the 2 pizzas, which I never got. I am now so embarrassed that I doubt I will ever go back to this store, to where I have shopped for about 15 yrs. I have never been treated like this, it is very embarrassing.

The Hy Vee in Windsor Heights is by far the best Hy Vee. Their health section is truly phenomenal! They have such variety and options for vegans, health conscious people and normal regular joes! Their alcohol section is getting better (the hyvee at 42nd and university is the best) and the worker in the alcohol area truly knows his beer and is always willing to give suggestions. I wrote letters to the corporate hyvee for food items to be stocked and within a week, I was contacted and they updated me on their progress for getting the foods. After more then a week it was stocked. Let me tell you.....some of these health food items are A LOT cheaper compared to Campbells or Dahls. Absolutely worth the trip to go there. Also, shop for health items on Wednesdays and get 10% off! You cant beat that! I will wait longer for specific cashiers because they are very kind and truly give amazing service. They get to know you and ask about your day. Definitely my favorite shopping location. Also, young people can ride the play horse (that plays music and rocks back and forth) they have there for free - a lot of fun for the little ones!

ive been going there for the last year or so [two or three times a week], always with a backpack. thought they knew me, but today, they actually surprised me by wanting to see my receipt. i voluntarily emptied out the contents of my back pack to prove i hadnt shoplifted anything, and showed them my receipt. kind of intimidating, i was so embarassed i actually lost facial composure dealing with the two of them. im surprised that after a year of going there regularly they would corner me like that. maybe i should start carrying a purse instead of a backpack. :)

We stopped into the Market Grille on a Tuesday night. Both my husband and I ordered the Grand Buffett and ordered the same for our 1 year old (because kids eat free on Tuesdays - nice surprise). They have a really nice salad bar that was well stocked and had a lot of fresh fruit. The Chinese food was typical Hy-Vee Chinese, but hot case was a little sparse on the vegetable selection. Overall, it was a good experience, and a nice way to get good food without having to cook in the middle of the week after playing in the nearby park.

We just had Hyvee Windsor Heights Cater our Wedding! Chris the catering manager was absolutely amazing! She helped all throughout the process and was there throughout the day helping set up and getting things ready! They were AMAZING!!! The food was wonderful and I cant begin to explain all that they did for us!! I would recommend this hyvee for anyone looking for catering, flowers, and cake...our experience was so wonderful!!!

While it certainly is not a high dollar quiet resturant, I thought the food was good. The store is clean, bright and modern. So far everyone has been easy to work with and generally helpful. They do not go out of their way and track you down to fine out what you need (like HyVee used to) but then again what stores do these days? However, they are happy to help if you ask. The neighborhood is a nice one also.

Ive tried going to the Market Grill multiple times since it has switch. Everytime it is the same experience. You dont get your drink until your half way through your meal. Trying to get a spoon takes twice as long as your drink. Then, we you need to pay your "server", you have to go to them..if they are even around. Terrible service.

Always a little pricey unless you shop deals, but I always go here just because of how great the employees are. Always able to ask questions. The guys in the liquor section really know their brews and the butchers know their craft. Kudos to them for not just being grocer-drones.

It might seem a bit weird to eat at a restaurant in your grocery store, but this location functions just fine as both. Its a good chance to sit down and plan out meals before you shop, if you arent great at doing so ahead of time.

The employees here are upbeat and helpful. The store is well kept and easy to navigate through. Decent parking. The store includes a starbucks and bank. You can get checks cashed at the bank here.
