Friendly, enjoyable atmosphere, and very helpful. If its planes, trains, automobiles....well minature automobiles, you can find it here! I went in looking for a part from a car that they dont carry. Well they didnt have the part, but gave many tips on where I could get it and how I should go about getting the part. The store is cramed full of every thing you can think of. The nitro cars, which is what Im in to, are very competitive prices! Ill be thinking of upgrading to a better model in the next year or two and have no objectons from buying from here. I have definitely found my new fuel place. Its great because its in town. No more mail order nitro fuel. Give them a look. Might look cluttered, but ask for help. They will help you out!! Oh and dont expect to leave shortly, theyll be more then happy to have a friendly conversation with ya!

Treats the customers horribly and is not a friendly individual. Interesting when you call your paying customers names. I would recommend any person in the area utilize a different shoe repair person as he is disrespectful and I will tell each and every person I meet to go do a different place. Hopefully other peole will support the good hearted, well intentioned business owners of Dubuque and not the poor ones.

I have used Fagans for shoe repair for several years and drive over an hour one way to get there. I have always been very happy with their work. Their bedside manner may be a little rough around the edges, but we get along fine. I dont go there looking for hand-holding or pampering; I go there to get my boots repaired! I would recommend their business to anyone who appreciates quality craftsmanship.

Yeah kind of gruff. Just like a dude with the apron and leather working tools and a lifetime of experience should be. Deeply dedicated to service and his craft. Ive purchased excellent footwear here and some RC stuff just because it looked fun and have received excellent service during and after sale every time. I recommend this place to everyone that will listen and no-one has been disappointed.

As for the negative reviews, I have learned that people treat you like you treat them. The guys at Fagans have always been very nice to me and I would recommend them to everyone I know and have sent people their way. I was having problems with an RC car that I didnt buy from them and they still took the time to talk with me and look at my car. Very knowledgeable.

i went there with my grandson to look at lionel trains. the two men working there were very friendly and helpful. gave me a free catalogue. other stores charge $5.00 for it. gave my grandson a balsa wood glider airplane for free. told us to come back any time. i will be there every time we are in dubuque.

Because Fagans has been the only shoe repair in Dubuque for decades, theyve gotten by with poor service, unmet timeline commitments, and surliness. From now on, I will throw away shoes Id rather repair because they infuriate me with their total lack of professionalism.

Have a sale on hobbies.....oh wait its ALL consignment so it does not get the discount that they have offerd and they sell stuff they dont know if it works or not for a high price That you might regret on getting. Not a place to go.....
