Albert assisted me with my equipment rental. He was helpful and knowledgeable about the equipment and procedures. I knew from the beginning that I was dealing with someone that really cared about the customers and the reputation of Porter Hardware My experience was like a small business in a small town and definitely more personal than a big chain store. I see they have a few negative reviews, but I think that its the authors of those reviews loss if they dont go back to Porters. Ive owned a small business for over 30 years and I know that- when you do great business, you sometimes get really busy. Its tough being the little fish in a big pond, but when you care about the customers the way that Porter does, you get a lot of business. The people that wrote the negative reviews dont realize that the reason for the delay on the phones is because of the high demand for Porters high quality service. Nobody is perfect, but Porters doing great and I will always be a customer from this day forward. Thumbs up Porter, Keep up the great work!! that takes pride in their I had a great experience and will be back for sure.

Terrible experience with service manager, KC. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD!!! I dropped off riding mower 4 weeks ago. Heard nothing from anyone for three weeks. Last week I called and was put on hold forever, so I called back. Twice I left my number and did not receive a call back. Finally, I had to just go there to get any answers. KC was rude and disorganized. He could not find my paperwork at first, until he searched through 7 or 8 stacks of service tickets. finally, his only answer was "our policy is to work on equipment bought here before other equipment". At this rate, I will never get my mower fixed. I am going back today with my trailer to pick up my broken mower, and I will never set foot in there again.

Would not recommend the service department. Went in for an oil leak and put a note on the ticket to call for any other repairs. They did not call, did several unauthorized repairs (even put on new blades which i had at home), and merely replied with "sorry." The front desk folks were reasonably helpful. Unless you want to spend half of your mowers value on repairs, go somewhere else.

Shopping here is a pleasure. Great prices and the staff is so helpful and friendly. One of there staff, Rick, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He save me money with his suggestions and teaching me that I could do it myself, which really saved.
