I received terrible service. I needed a cleaning product for cement. My husband and I walked to where the cement was located and couldnt find the cleaner. Two gentlemen standing at a near by counter told us that cleaners were in Plumbing and that sealers were in Paint. We walked over to Plumbing. Two workers were walking up an isle and they told us that everything would be in Paint. We walked over to Paint. A worker putting items on the shelf told us she couldnt help us. We then stood at the Paint counter. Two workers were working on mixing paint. Neither one would look at us. One of the workers stood by the paint mixer and watched it as it shook then walked over to where his mic was hanging and played with it. The other worker kept coming and going. The worker with the paint mixer left and looked at a shelf with paint, didnt retrieve anything then came back and looked at the mixer again. The other worker came back, didnt look at us and continued to look something up on his screen. I started to laugh in disbelief and he finally looked at us. I told him all I had was a question about where they would have a cleaner and he told me I would have to wait because they were busy. We left and went to Lowes. In and out in 8 minutes!

I am in the process of building a new home with Menards suppling the material. On Monday i called the salesman Todd, and told him I was ready for the delivery of the floor system, walls, and all the sheeting for the walls and roof, on Saturday. He said he would set it up. I had to call again on Tuesday to find out if it had and he told me it had and the load would be there Saturday. I called again on Thursday to find out what time of day it would arrive and Todd told me between 9 and 10 AM. Saturday at 11:20 I called and talked to the delivery department to find out where it was and was told no delivery had been set up. Of course everything had been paid and now I have lost a week of construction. We still have roofing, siding, sheetrock, insulation,windows, doors, paint, fixtures and appliances to purchase,which may be purchased elsewhere.Thank You Todd for all your help.

Bought 3 bags if rock and asked twice for help. A lazy sss guy on a forklift kept ignoring me even though he saw me wave at him for help. When he finally did acknowledge me he said he couldnt help me due to weight restriction disability and started to walk away. I quickly asked him if he thought he could find someone else to help me. Youd think it would be common sense to find another person to help but nope he was going to leave me hangin! Pure LAZINESS!!!!! I was the only customer in the yard at that time. I wasnt asking for much. Yes it was hot, but you get paid to do a job! If you wont do it then get the hell out of the way as there are other more deserving people out there who do want to work and make an honest living!!!

Called about a dishwasher on sale and asked when it was on sale through and was told until the end of the month but when I went to order it on the 30th it was $100 more. I called the store and asked about the price and they told me it was no longer on sale. I explained the whole situation and that I had called to verify how long it would be on sale and that I was told the end of the month but no one seemed to care and they told me there was nothing they would do and were honestly pretty rude on the phone. Ive been going to menards for years and Im truly disappointed by this experience and I think I will be shopping around from now on due to the dishonesty and the lack or customer service.

Terrible customer service. The girl at customer service desk told me she would be right with me, and then continued to type something into her computer for about 10 minutes, while I waited patiently. When I asked if there was anyone who could help me, she replied "its going to be a minute." Never asked for help. She had a question for her supervisor, so she went into an office, and then still came out with no one to help her. Meanwhile, 3 other people joined me in line. Very dissatisfied. They get 1 star, because your not allowed to leave 0.

I work here and we try our absolute best to give people who are kind to us the best service. The issue with no one helping the one guest who had a complaint was probably because it was a Saturday when it was nice outside and the store was busy. It is in fact a big store and we have many things to do and gues to please. If you need help, you need to ask for it and be patient. We are a big store trying to please as many customers as possible and love helping others!

Bought an lg front load washer on Aug 4 2015 got it home washed 1 load of laundry then it quit . Menards was closed and we couldnt take it back then so got in touch with repairman and he said would call within the week . Here it is 2 weeks later and menards will not take it back because they said 7 days have passed and the lg company says they are stoll looking for a repairman

Get more checkers !!!!! Its summer time. Store is pack only half registers are open. And the lady in the garden area is Sooooooooo slow. Place your quickest and veteran checkers in the garden are and have more than 1 checker out here. Been in line for 30 min and Im 3 Rd in line. Shes way too slow

I have been there a few times now, everytime got over 30 bags of rock or sand, they say uneed help? I said yes, guy drives the bags close to my truck and sits and waits as i load. Incompetent. Lazy, and ask them where anything is, theyll send you the wrong way or look with you.

Staff was extremely helpful. Helped me find the cheapest way to complete my project. Guided me through the entire store to find everything I needed. They are willing and eager to price match and get you the best deal possible. My business is firm and continuing here.

Horrible had to ask 5 different employees where their sandbags were three of them told me to ask someone else one heckled me and the 5th one jus walked away WTF and now Im leaving with no sandbags this place is a JOKE!!!

The Menards in Altoona is great, not to busy or long lines and enough help, but the one out in Clive however..........plan a vacation visit for that mad house because you are going to be there for a while lol.

I give this place a better than average experience. They keep stuff in stock and have people around to help if you need it. i dont wait more than 5 minutes to get checked out so its OK.

I was there 3 times today and it took over 10 minutes to get checked out didnt have enough cashiers the first time ..I dont know why they were backed up the 2nd and 3rd time
