*******YOU MUST READ*********I just left Fender Cycle, and I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. First, I dropped my bike of on Wednesday. I knew they couldnt get to until Friday. I was told that the bike would be ready that day or the next day. All I was having done was their Platinum Service, which includes checking thing over and an oil change. And besides the service, I got a full detail on the bike. I left some handle bar grips up there and a windscreen and asked the Service rep to install the windscreen and i would call him the next day and tell him if I wanted them installed. I called the next and told him not to install the grips. While i was there, asked if he could have the detail gut remove a Cell Phone clip from my gas tank which was held in place by adhesive glue. Now the weekend goes by, still no bike. Called him on Monday he said the detail guy wasnt there and the bike would be ready tomorrow. Asked for a price he said hell call me back. No call and Tuesday came around, no bike. Called him tuesday after 3 and asked if the bike was ready, he said the detail guy is working on it but he doesnt was guarantee it will be done by the end of the day, but itll be done tomorrow. So today which is Wednesday, I go pick up the bike, i wait 10 mins while he says the detail guy is just wiping it off(for 2full days). No problem, im excited to get my bike. I Looked the service rep directly in the eyes and asked him if there were any issue with the bike he found during service. He looked me dead in the eye and said everything is good. I get home read my receipt and in SMALL PRINT AND THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER, IT READ, LOW TREAD ON FRONT TIRE, BREAK PADS ARE LOW ALL THE WAY AROUND, AND FORK SEALS NEEDS REPLACED. MY ADVICE GO SPEND THE MONEY AT A REPUTABLE DEALER. PAY THEM THEIR EXPENSIVE A.. PRICES AND GET TREATED WITH SOME RESPECT. the detail guy was cool. (but dont waste your money)

I have taken my bike to Fender Cycle several times in the last year for different jobs on my 2013 Kawasaki ZX636 and havent had too many issues other than the main mechanic guy, Cam, always saying how busy they are and working to actually get a time scheduled. I am not sure if they are aware but majority of people work a full time job and arent able to just bring their bike in during normal business hours. However I always made it work but after having them install my underglow lights and the service I received afterwards I will absolutely NEVER give Fender Cycle anymore of my business. About a week after Fender Cycle installed my lights and I went to use my horn, nothing happens. So when I finally have time off work on a Monday I take my bike back and asked if it could be checked to see why my horn wasnt working. I speak with Cam when I walk in and ask if it could be looked at and immediately he cuts me off and says "We wouldnt be able to look at it until the end of the week, beginning of next week." I tell him I think when the installed the underglow lights that something must have been disconnected to cause my horn to not work. He gets extremely defensive, says it was probably something I did, a fuse might be blown, etc. I ask if they could just check to see if maybe something wasnt connected properly during the install. He proceeds to tell me I would need to schedule a time to bring it in and they would have to check and it could take 30 minutes to 2 hours, he wasnt really sure. I have no problem paying for service, as I stated before Ive had numerous jobs done from oil changes, to tire changes but this was just awful customer service and to be a motorcycle dealership and not have any concern for a fellow rider out without a working home is ridiculous to me. I will not be returning or referring anyone to this shop ever again!

I was looking to purchase a scooter somewhere in Des Moines. I kept hearing the name Fenders. I walked in and Was greeted politely. I was shown my options and picked out the perfect scooter for me. I had to order the scooter and was told it would take 7 days. After 7 days i called my scooter was no where to be found. So I called back the next day they still did not know where it was. I called back a 3rd time and was transferred to a more knowledgeable person this is when I was hung up on. I asked my father to call them he was told that we needed to wait another 7 days. So after 14 days i get a call saying my scooter is there and that I can come pick it up. I ask my father to pick me up and bring me to fenders. When I get there no one knew what Im talking about after about 20 minutes someone comes and says that my scooter is still in the crate. So we wait for an hour for the scooter to be put together. At this point im late for work. I get on my scooter and ride it to work. Over the next few days riding it to work it starts stalling at stop signs and red lights in the middle of heavy traffic. So I call fenders tell them about the issue they ask that I bring it in. I was leaving for vacation that day so I leave it in my garage. When I get back I tried to start it up it wont start. So I call fenders they took down my info to call back the next day didnt get a call so i call them. The staff was short with me told me they didnt have a trailer available to pick it up since it wont run. I had to wait another week before they would have the proper equipment to pick up my Scooter and get it fixed. All and all the service Ive gotten from fenders has not been top of the line. Its the summer I want to be able to ride my scooter and have transportation.

Went in to get some quotes and answers on "restoring and some custom fabrication done(just a motor mount bracket) to my 1978 scooter and the guy at the front desk didnt know much about scooters, so he went to go get the mechanic from the garage... and the answer I got from the mechanic in a snobby voice "if I want that done, just buy a new scooter with that motor... blah, blah, blah" Well if I wanted a new scooter I would have just done that. He didnt seem at all interested in working on my scooter or talking by the way he said it. He didnt even try to provide any other options or point me in the right direction. All I wanted to know was prices for restoration and some fab work done(welding a simple extension bracket). But I guess it was just to much to ask. Ive heard all kinds of wonderful and great things about Fenders from other fellow riders and was extremely excited all week to go, up until now. But upon arriving seeing all the bikes outside when your coming down the road made me very anxious to get in the store, only to be let down. I was in the store no longer than 10mins. This was my first visit and probably the last.
