I freely admit, Ive tried most of the donuts that Krispy Kreme has to offer. But you simply cant top the decadent feel of a fresh, hot glazed donut. When we moved to town I used to cruise by on my way to anywhere, just to check if the hot sign was on. Then they got an app called the Hot Light that tells you when the hot light is on. I removed the app after it had been a year since it said the light was on. I stopped cruising by when I found they seldom have the light on even when they are making donuts. The other day I stopped in with my brother. The hot light was not on, but he had a Groupon to use. When we walked in I noticed that they were making them hot and fresh and the conveyor was full of amazing goodness. I knew what I wanted and asked for a dozen hot, fresh donuts. The person proceeded to fill my box with a dozen right out of the display case. I said, "Id prefer the hot ones." She said, "theyre all hot, they were made today." They were NOT hot. They were not even warm, tepid, or any other word even close to hot. Had my brother not already paid for this Groupon and known it was expiring, Id have come back another day in hopes of avoiding the ice queen. Clearly she had no care for customers, no idea what hot is or else she had no idea what words were coming out of both her and my mouths. In any case, she should not be working there. But given that they seldom turn on the light, even when they are hot, and now apparently refuse to serve you what you want if they are hot, I suppose theres no need to expect theyll ever update the status on the app or rise to any level of good service. Id rather go anywhere else for a donut where they will at least not LIE to my face than this establishment. Cold and made this morning is nothing near HOT...so be prepared to either have it out...or get no hot here.

I lived behind the donut shop on 86th & Alice and took my 3 kids for a snack on st. pattys day it was about 425 and the person working was impatient with them picking there donuts and then he started to walk away with out asking me if i wanted anything so i gave my order and wanted to get a drink off the beverage list orange kreme i think he told me i coulndt have it cuz they wernt making it. then he said togo and said no he me another impatient look and i as why you closing he said no not till 5 it was 430. i paid and my donuts were put in a box not on a tray and push the box to me. 5 10 min later he stood up against the counter and kept looking at us with his arms crossed like he wanted to leave. He finaly left cuz my kids were wondering why i was looking at us. Then he was banging it seem pots and pans. That was it and we left. NOT HAPPY I lived at 9051 franklin ave clive 50325 and the BBB is in my mind to call.

Ive patronized Krispy Kremes in other cities because of their delicious donuts and ridiculously friendly staff. The friendly staff apparently was off today at the Des Moines area outlet. The employees seemed a bit overwhelmed by the National Donut Day crowd. One older female employee was particularly rude. The only word she seemed to know was "NEXT!!" Not "may I help you?" but "NEXT!!" Besides being rude, she also was incompetent. When I got back to my car, I saw shed bungled my order (cream-filled donuts instead of custard-filled) and overcharged me (she charged me for eight donuts instead of six). If this is their idea of customer service, Ill buy my donuts elsewhere, and urge my friends and neighbors to do the same.

I was out with my family thinking about getting some donuts for the next morning when I looked online and saw that Krispy Creme was opened till 11pm on a Saturday which surprised me. It was 8:30 when we went in to see that many of the choices werent available. We asked if they were making more and the girl said no. They didnt even have the original glazed donuts. Whats the point of saying your open till 11pm and stop making donuts before 8:30? Very disappointed...

This is the closest krispy kreme to Minneapolis, which is like 3hrs+ drive. My boyfriend and I decide to take a mini road trip down for some donuts. We got there, it wasnt really busy, honestly this place is friendly. The cashier was so sweet and nice. She was helpful. Since were from out of town, I decide to grab 10 dozen. Will go back again.

When did a dozen donuts get to be almost $20?! Glad this is about a twice a year stop for the family! Quick drive through stop today. Just OK service. Nothing outstanding, nothing especially good or adversely bad. I guess in todays world that would be outstanding to most people. Still a nice treat yo have warm fresh donuts on a Sunday morning.

Coming from the East, it was awesome to find Krispy Kreme so far west!!!! Would have loved it MORE if they were HOT but, a few seconds in the microwave, they were as great as if they would have just came out the store hot!! Everyone should try a Krispy Kreme doughnut if you havent already!! In my opinion, Dunkin Doughnut who???

Fresh doughnuts made on site. Variety of doughnuts and drinks offered. Look out for offers, buy dozen get dozen free. Almost every visit offered sample of hot doughnuts fresh off the rollers. Fun to watch them cycle through the process of dough to glazed doughnut through large glass window, vibe from seating.

My girlfriend and I went out specifically to get donuts from Krispy Kreme. I love Krispy Kreme donuts and will most likely get more but we went to get the New Ghiradelli mint filling donut at 11 AM, there was no line, but they were out of the donut already even though its a new release!

Delicious as usual but took a while due to them not being able to scan a printed gift card and they werent sure how to type it in manually. Couldnt scan my phone either. Employees were very nice but management should train them better and have equipment that works.

Friendly employees and great donuts, of course. They are all good sports and several of them put in tons of extra time to support "Talk like a pirate day". The manager there is always kind and chats up folks at the register. Did I mention the great donuts?!

Went here because its the closest KK to Minneapolis. Picked up an order and it was on time and ready to go but the employees seemed super unhappy. The bathrooms were kinda gross and the ceiling was leaking. Great donuts but the facility was gross.

Only complaint is I wish it were busier so the donuts were fresh off the rack. Still good and made every morning, but nothing like made two seconds ago donuts. On the plus side you can get in and out fast. Staff always friendly.
