The food is good and the price you pay is fair. They have daily lunch specials. If they have the Ruben it is a good one. If you have ever done Thanksgiving here it is quite an operation and the food is good. Very loud. I usually come for breakfast and they have all of the usual breakfast items....good biscuits with Apple Butter which is not offered everywhere. They have catfish for breakfast lunch and dinner. Uncle Hershels Catfish is good and is also apparently the only non-pork thing that Uncle Hershel eats. Fried apples are good but probably too sweet for some. If you read the menu carefully you can make some tasty and healthy choices. Their "Hashbrown Casserole" has cheese in it which is not what you would expect and is not that good or good for you. ***ATTENTION*** Their "saw mill gravy" is the worst gravy and it is the same for all Cracker Barrel restaurants. They need to make sausage gravy, country gravy, southern gravy, whatever you want to call it but what they make is nasty. I think it is made with pork rinds and artificial bacon bits Walk into about any other restaurant in the country and you ask for a half or full order of B & G and you will get something vastly different than what they try to sell as saw mill gravy. Maybe there is saw dust in it too. Can you tell I feel strongly about this? 99.999% of other restaurants have gravy that is similar in flavor, some spicy , some peppery, some bland but all are vastly different and the unique flavor of saw mill gravy. It is unique and not in a good way. I wish they could offer both, end of rant!

I had a bad experience with a to-go order the last time I stayed at the hotel next door, but I figured I would try again. Everybody has a bad day right? Well, Im now convinced that this Cracker Barrell is not to-go friendly. I ordered by phone from the hotel next door and spoke to "Janice S" and placed my order. Janice said that the order was a "dippible" order and would be ready in about 5 mins. I waited 10 mins and went over. The cashier called me by name when I said I was there to pick up a tp-go order and I paid for it. I waited an additional 15 mins. The cashier called back using her headphones and was told they were bagging my order. Another 10 mins and I approached the cashier to get my money back. The cashier said she would have to cal the manager who came out immediately. I explained that I just wanted my money back, he immediately went back and came right back out with my order. I just wanted my money back and to get out of there. I got my money back and left their food on the counter where the manager left it. I think they need some new management at this location. PS.... dippable items as told to me by the cashier, are items that are hot and ready and just need to be dished. Chicken and dumplings and biscuits and gravy are examples of dippable foods. AVIOD THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT A TO GO ORDER. There are many other restaurants in the area that are capable of filling your request. Bypass Cracker Barrell Richmond Ohio

Would give more stars but myself and my son both ordered gravy we only received 1 gravy and we asked for our other bowl of gravy and when it comes out, it was very thick and had a layer of crust on top of it. When compared to the other gravy, there was a very noticeable difference. I wanted to let the server know and she never came back. I got the attention of another server and just asked her to take over for my server. She was very helpful. The original server returned smelling of cigarette smoke 15 minutes later. I told her that she was no longer my server and she questioned, why.

Food was good I guess. What I had off my sons plate. Waited for a VERY long time to be seated. Was pushed back down to the bottom of the list at one point. My burger came out without a bun and enough grease coming off of it to kill a horse. Asked for a new plate and napkins to soak up the grease and the manager took my plate and sent out the other 2 managers. I just kept telling them to just leave me alone but they wouldnt listen. Didnt even offer to discount a meal or anything so I didnt get to eat. Not a highly recommended place on my book

So I was 6 days on the road right, me and Lenny we beat, I mean like dead man. We see this Brown sign up ahead. Cracker Barrel it says. Will lets see what this place is all about. So we stop and I pray this old pick up starts again. Its not easy putting 700 more miles through mountain on a Ford from the 90s. Anyway we go inside. Lenny forgot to put out his smoke, so a valuptious blond with sort of a nervous dimeanor says you cant smoke Im here. Of course he says. Puts it out with his boot. We sit by the

Im only giving Cracker Barrel 2 stars because after I ordered my food I waited for 1 hour and 10 minutes to get something that I didnt even order, I tried to tell the server but she rudely said, " cant you see that Im busy, " I told the manager that I wasnt happy with my order getting messed up and about her rude server, the manager apologized and let me have my meal for free, maybe they have new employees now but Im not risking going back.

It is a great restaurant. Would give it 5 stars except for the cigarette smoke filtering from the smoking section throughout the restaurant. Non-stop complaints from people have still not stopped it. Some days you cant breath for it. One of the employees tried to equate the toxic cigarette smoke as equal to the fireplace burning!! The management there must be smokers.

We had fish there,2/1/13. It was terrible. It tasted old & was not warm. Little bitty pieces of catfish. Mostly breading. My friend had cod. It was terrible too. I will never eat at this local store again. Their quality of food has gone down to zero. I do have to say the mac. & cheese was good. Our stomach rolled all night. Something was wrong with the food.

We are frequent customers at the Richmond Ind.cracker barrel. We were the on thanksgiving the food was not up to the standards that we usually get . I dont know what it was wether short staffed or just because of the holiday.l hope it was just a fluke we have always enjoyed our food an the staff we have come to know over the years we have been going there.
