Well I initially had a 5 star review for calumet Harley until I got my bike back from their service department: everything was smooth until I got my bike home and I decided I wanted to clean it after getting caught in rain, so as Im going over my motorcycle I noticed black boot marks all over my exhaust header pipe Im staring at it looking at my boots no marks on my boots mind you I wear only brown boots! So it wasnt my boots then I noticed oil all over my motor well I didnt bring you a motorcycle with oil on the motor nor boot burn marks on the exhaust. Then the service department tells me well sometimes oil will spill from when we take the filter off, Im no dummy I understand that it is a hard area to stop oil from not spilling but again I brought you a bike with not a spot of oil anywhere its BRAND NEW, its called degreaser. You could have done a better job at it, but instead you didnt do a good job at it at all. Im so tired of careless people not treating peoples vehicles like it would be their own. Needless to say you wont see me back in there if I cant trust people to treat my motorcycle right and with care. The gentleman that took my bike into service was the only positive thing about the service other than that not very positive.

From the very first time we walked in to Calumet Harley Davidson, My wife and I knew that this was the place we wanted to buy our motorcycle. On that first visit we met Earl, and upon telling him that we were not going to buy anything, and that we didnt know anything about Harley Davidson Motorcycles, he proceeded to educate us. He spent about an hour and a half teaching us more than we could have imagined. The next visit we ogled a 2016 Fatboy Lo, but werent sure if it was the right time. Earl was very understanding about us trying to make the best decision. A week later we purchased that exact motorcycle. From Earl and Sal in sales to Joe and Brian in Parts, Kelly in Motorclothes, all the way to Gina in Finance, we were treated like family from day one. I couldnt imagine doing business with another dealer.

I bought my 15 Heritage Softail from Chicago Harley Davidson in Glenview and the service I got from them was terrible, and insulting. I was set on selling my FLSTN because the experience left me with a sore ***. I moved to Highland and needed a 2nd oil change so I went to Calumet Harley, and Glenn in Service completely changed my outlook. He introduced me to Joe (Parts Guru) and others, and the treatment I received was an absolute pleasure. Im no longer trying to sell my bike over a crappy experience from the dealer in Glenview and have rated (and told him) Glenn, a 10/10. The service was on a Saturday at 1:30pm, I was in and out in under an hour. I am absolutely sold on Calumet Harley and their abilities, as well as the Harley Davidson culture.

I have came to Calumet Harley Davidson several times and have never had any issues, up until Sunday (6/18/17) , The man who was in-the service department told us that Harley doesnt work on bikes that are a 95 they are to old of a bike. That is not a true statement. Harley in Valpo does work on ANY HARLEY DAVIDSON!!! . So needless to say Calumet Harley Davidson was of absolutely no help ! I walked back in the building to ask for the owners name and phone number the lady behind the counter was the most rude person I have ever incounterd not very helpful at all ! I called the manager and left a voicemail and of course there was no return phone call . We will not be back !!!!! If I could write a review with out a star I absolutely would!

BOUGHT A NEW 2004 FATBOY FROM CALUMET HARLEY, GREAT BIKE. ROSE WAS MY SALES PERSON BACK THEN, CAME IN JUST LOOKING AND LEFT RIDING. LOW PRESSURE JUST A GREAT PERSON TO DEAL WITH. SOLD IT 3 YEARS AGO AND MAY REPURCHASE A LATE MODEL USED IN FUTURE. I HAVE VISITED STORE IN THE PAST YEAR OR TWO AND WAS NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THAT I WAS IN THE STORE. KIND OF A BAD THING BECAUSE I AM AN IMPULSE BUYER AND IF THE DEAL IS RIGHT AND I LIKE THE SALESPERSON IM SOLD. I WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE BUSINESS AND UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF TREATING CUSTOMERS WELL. OUR COMPANY WAS ENROLLED IN THE DISNEY INSTITUTE TO SHARE THEIR TECHNIQUE OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. My wife and try to stop at all HD dealers on our travels. Mainly east of the Mississippi. Yours stands out as one of the best. All around your staff is very friendly, informed, does not pressure the customer, but is there for them as needed. We buy the bulk of our ridding needs in MI. But try to get something at each dealer we stop at. And that is where you people shine. It doesnt matter what we buy or look at. You treat us as long time valued customers. “I usually take a long trip to Chicago Harley in Glenview, because I bought my bike there. I thought that they had good service, so I didnt mind taking the trip. One day I decided to stop by Calumet Harley just to buy some sun glasses for my girlfriend. From the minute I walked in I felt comfortable. The staff was amazing! They helped me out with every single question that I had about everything! I went in there for sunglasses and came out with a shirt; two belts some accessories for my bike and yes, the sunglasses for my girlfriend. She is now in the market for a bike, we will be seriously thinking of getting it from Calumet Harley.”

The staff in every department is always quick to answer questions and be helpful. Most recently I went to pay for my Riders Edge course, Im nervous about it and have a huge fear of failure! I buy all my clothes from this store and love the energy of the staff!!!! I am one of those shoppers that gets to the register and as I wait, I look around and always find more things to get. They never get impatient with me. Anytime I have needed help or on the rare occasion Ive had to return an item, I have been helped with a smile and never an attitude. And, I would REALLY like to thank the entire store for allowing my 165lb puppy to come see Santas Elves and not have a heart attack that he would destroy every thing. In fact, they encouraged us to stay. Thank you!!!
