As many have stated, this shop has probably one of the largest selections of dresses in Indianapolis, but truly needs to work on customer service, particularly the shop manager. My particular associate was a sweet girl but a bit pushy in trying to get me to purchase the dress the day of my appointment, so that "I could get 10% off." I ultimately did purchase the dress the day of, but more so because I wanted to, as they didnt know I already had a 10% discount from my engagement ring jeweler. Them not having this information made the push to purchase even more obvious. At one point during my appointment, the manager came over to discuss some alterations I wanted done to my dress. I felt as though she was not a good listener (which proved even more true after this day). She was so busy proving what an expert she was and so busy telling me what I couldnt do, she often times made comments before I was even able to get my words out. The worst part of my experience came after I purchased my dress. I purchased my dress on April 9, 2017. When I left I was given a folder with my receipt, a business card, and an alterations handout. I was not given any information on when my dress would arrive, and silly me for not asking. Not long after purchasing my dress, I got a voicemail from the associate Id worked with telling me something I wanted removed from the dress couldnt be. No big deal there. However, it wasnt until just shy of a month later (after I sent an e-mail inquiry), that I received a message from the manager telling me my dress was not scheduled to arrive until August or September (I have an Oct wedding that I was upfront at my appointment about). I sent an e-mail voicing my extreme frustration but did not hear back, so I called. This was when things went south. Once again, the manager proved what a poor listener she was and how being right was more important to her than good customer service. I will not go into every detail but my conversation with her was some of the worst customer service Ive ever gotten. Had she just listened and tried to solve the problem in the beginning this review would be very different. Instead, she chose to argue with me and not fix the problem until the very end. I wanted her to know that I felt the shop needs to be more upfront with customers on how long it can take for their dress to arrive. Instead of her accepting this, she chose to argue about the industry standard and how I should have googled how long dresses take to arrive. Is that my job? I dont believe so. Its the shops job to tell me and every customer that comes through that door. Secondly, while there may be an industry standard I went to multiple shops that ensured me my dress would arrive 2-3 months after my order date opposed to Marie Gabriels 4-5 months. During our conversation, I discovered there was an option to rush the dress. This was never mentioned to me. Instead, she said they dont like for customers to spend the extra money when a dress arriving a month or so before the wedding is ideal, so your alterations can occur when youre closest to your wedding weight. This was even more frustrating, as this business takes it upon themselves to assume when is an ideal time for a bride to receive her dress and makes the assumption that every brides plans to lose weight before her wedding. Myself and the manager went back and forth for about 10 minutes, her talking while I was talking and trying to prove a point. Finally, in the last 3 minutes she offered to see if they could rush my dress at no charge. And this is why I am most disappointed. Instead of becoming argumentative and trying to prove a point to me about what I should have known, this is what this manager should have done from the beginning. She should have immediately apologized and said she is sorry that they were not upfront with me about how long my dress would take and that they are sorry for not offering me the option to rush my dress and that they will do better. It could have been that simple. Admit your faults, fix it and move on.

If you are looking to dress shop at a classy and modern salon with experienced and professional staff, I would highly recommend you go the the Marie Gabriel Couture Bridal salon to find your own wedding dress. A good friend referenced me to the salon, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I bought my wedding dress here and have already recommended several of my bride-to-be friends to the salon. I would make the same recommendation to you, and here is why: 1. Customer Service This store has amazing customer service that goes above and beyond to work with you to ensure you know your options. After being dead set on a designer line carried by Marie Gabriel Couture, I phoned the salon about a specific dress that I was interested in. The dress wasnt carried in the store, but they quickly informed me that it is sometimes available during the designers trunk show. The owner and staff at the salon worked with me far in advance to give me trunk show dates for this designer so I could have the best selection and price. They worked their butts off in the mean time, and had the dress I requested shipped to the salon, so it was there for me to try on. Talk about customer service - they went out of their way to be sure I was able to take this dress into consideration. 2. Friendly, Experienced, and Professional Staff When I arrived, the owner and staff greeted my family and me and were all extremely friendly and helpful. They walked us around the salon and helped me select gowns to try on. I ask a lot of questions and they happily and professionally answered them! As a very researched shopper, I very much appreciated their honesty, opinions, and advice regarding the dresses and accessories I tried on. After trying on the dress that I thought I would love and that had shipped to the store for me to see, I was unsure. I tried on several other dresses prior to making a decision. The staff working with me recommended a similar style dress they thought I would like. I ended up going with their recommendation, which was actually less expensive than the dress that had been shipped to the store per my request! They were honest with me on what looked best and worked for my wedding day, and werent concerned about making the best sale, which spoke volumes in my eyes. I truly appreciated this!! 3. Overall Positive Experience Needless to say I bought my dress at the salon, and would do it again in a heart beat. All of the staff was so helpful and worked with me to customize the dress to my taste with the right color, size, and accessories to boot. They also helped me pick out my veil and belt, both of which complete the look. Overall, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and fun, which created such a positive experience that met my expectations for what shopping for your wedding dress should truly be like. They made me feel special and helped me make the right decision.

The ladies at Marie-Gabriel are absolutely amazing! Young has done an excellent job of training her staff to really focus on the bride and give her a wonderfully personalized experience. I went in with a very specific idea of the kind of dress that I wanted and a very specific budget. Vedorian, or "V" (as she preferred), listened to my descriptions of what I wanted in my dress and in our wedding in general and asked all the right questions to obtain a perfect understanding of what I was looking for. After we discussed my preferences, V took me around the salon to browse, all the while pointing out gowns that she felt matched my idea (by the way, she was right on point). She was also very mindful of my budget and was straight forward with me when I stopped to look at anything that was outside of it. To clarify, I did not take this as condescending or mean, but instead that she was looking out for my best interest since my budget was solid with no room to exceed it. Once we began trying on the gowns we had chosen (its all about you here, they carry all the gowns to your very own fitting room and help you in and out of them!), V was very focused on my opinions and reminding me to look at myself (I had a habit of immediately turning toward my entourage to see their reactions). I think many brides sometimes forget that the most important opinion about their dress is their own! I think this is also a good time to say that I brought 7 people with me, 3 of which were under ten years old and the staff really made us feel so welcome and even helped entertain the three little girls that eventually started to get a little bit bored. Additionally, V was completely honest with me about how I looked in each gown. She gave me an opportunity to develop my own opinion and then would provide her expertise by focusing my attention to certain aspects of each gown that matched or were different than what I originally wanted. I love how she and the staff were able to keep me and my entire entourage focused without making us feel rushed. I did find my perfect dress and veil at Marie-Gabriel and everyone was so pleasant with us even through the payment process! They did suggest jewelry and some other accessories, but when I declined, they accepted and did not try to push me to purchase anything I did not want (this can be rare when shopping in a bridal salon). I want to send Young, Vedorian, and all the staff at Marie-Gabriel my very sincerest thanks for making me feel special and beautiful and for helping me with one of the most important purchases I will make! To emphasize the personalized service of this salon, I would also like to mention that within a week of visiting, I received a thank you card from Marie-Gabriel with a personalized note from my consultant, Vedorian. This salon truly knows how to make a bride feel special!
