I bought a used car for my wife from Butler Kia of Fishers, and now I wish I would have known better. From the start I should have been suspicious, but my wife saw the car online and wanted to get it. I have only lived in this area for a little while, and the dealership I have been to for years is 2 hours away, so I was hoping that Butler Kia of Fishers was a reputable dealership. I was dead wrong! My wife fell in love with the pictures of the car online, and contacted the dealer via website. I dont know anything about the interaction, but we ended up there to look at the Ford Escape, one fine Saturday while I was on-call for work. I dont know what transpired between the salesman and my wife, so I cant speculate as to what promises were made about the vehicle. I do know sales though, and they were definitely not talented in that area. My wife may have been there for the used Ford, but at no point did they attempt to get me into a Kia, which I found kind of odd for a car dealership. My wife actually likes the look of a Kia Soul, but there was no attempt made to show us one or test drive, even after hours of waiting for the salesman to come back with the numbers. The salesman claimed he was having trouble finding a bank that would finance the car in my wifes name, but I think it was more likely he was having trouble finding a bank that would loan money on such a terrible vehicle! Eventually, after six hours of hoping I didnt have to drop everything and attend to an emergency call, we left with the used Ford for a $150 per month payment. For a little while, I was only dissatisfied with the purchase of the car. I have to work extremely hard at my job, and when other people appear to be "phoning it in", it makes me a little worried. Two weeks after purchasing the car, the transmission started missing second gear. I took it to a certified mechanic, and he said it was not very likely that the transmission just messed up within two weeks, but it would be easy to mask the problem if you were trying to unload this car on some poor sucker. His estimate to rebuild the transmission was $3200 to replace with a used (and a 12month warranty) or $3800 for a re-manufactured transmission (with a 3 year warranty). My wife called Butler Kia and explained the problem, and their response was they would replace the transmission, but charge us $2700 and they had to do the work. Why on earth would I trust them to do any work on the car if they didnt find the problem before it was sold? There are only a few scenarios where the Ford would have had problems this fast, maybe the car just suddenly went bad, but more likely is they got the car and didnt check it, or they intentionally masked the problem to make a quick buck. At any rate, Butler Kia refused to take any responsibility, or attempt to sell us a new car. New car dealerships are supposed to, at least attempt to, sell new cars. They missed 2 opportunities. I waited for a week to see if they would contact me personally, since my name was actually on the loan. They did not. At that point I became upset. Not only did they give us a terrible car, they also only gave us $1500 for a running vehicle that had several more options. I had the resources to end this, so I drove 2 hours back to the dealer I have been going to for years and made an exchange. I had to eat the cost of the repair, and the potential money I would have gotten by trading in the vehicle we had prior to the Ford. Fortunately for me, the other dealer was able to get me out of this situation, but I had to buy a much more expensive (but 500% nicer) car. I could have purchased a few of the new Kia models for the $350 payment I now have, but I dont think I will ever go back into a Butler Auto Group dealership. If you are looking for a hassle, and a rip-off by a bunch of amateur clowns, go straight to Butler Kia. If you are looking for a place to buy a reliable car, go anywhere else!

Ive been meaning to write this review for a long time. I have to tell you that my near buying experience at this dealership was absolutely terrible (almost laughably so). I started my day off at Butler Hyundai, where I was insulted by the "owner" multiple times (called an outright liar, argued with, etc.). At the end of the day, we simply couldnt come to a price, which is fine. They continually tried to show me a price that was $100 more than the car was listed for online, and I wanted to pay $300 less than the online price ($400 swing). The fact that we couldnt make a deal is fine, the treatment was over the top terrible. RJ Herr is quite a piece of work, he loves to remind you that hes the owner every few moments (ego much). After walking away, accepting that we just couldnt make a deal, I made the mistake of visiting Butler Kia of Fishers to look at a car I was also interested in. Mr. Herr, the "owner", had already called ahead and they told me that they simply could not deal with me. Honestly, this whole thing was crazy, the treatment was terrible, and the "owner" is a pompous tool. The sales person, Robert Cooke, informed me that his GM had talked to RJ and was told that they were not to deal with me unless I was willing to pay full price (not even discussing price). When I informed Mr. Cooke that I was shocked and was not interested in looking at the car further, he flew off the handle, wouldnt even shake my hand, and pretty much threw us out. What a joke this dealership is. Thankfully, I found a similar car, in better shape, at Ray Skillman where I was treated fairly and had a great experience.

I just want to say how pleased with the cost and with the way the repairs were handled on my wifes Cadillac. I had purchased a used Ford truck at Butler a year and a half ago and I have had the normal maintenance done on that truck in their service dept. During one of my visits I asked Chris their Service Manager if they could work on my wifes Cadillac. He said of course, I never thought about taking it any where besides the Cadillac dealership, but do to a bad experience at a Cadillac dealership I thought why not try the place d that takes care of my other truck. So I brought her Escalade in and had a full list of repairs needing done from exhaust , wheel hubs. brakes, seals etc. They got us in ,gave the wife a loaner to drive and performed the repairs as quoted. The was a small hiccup with the brakes due to a special brand that was on the vehicle but Brian in parts rectified that issue immediately and we were on our way. Chris took the time and performed a test drive with my wife to make sure she understood what was repaired and that she could tell the difference in how it operated. My wife mentioned the speedometer issue she has hsd ocassionally and Chris went out of his way to look up what was causing that issue and Informed me the other day. Which he found a inexpencive way to fix it. So I told him to order the part and have it done. ( He took that extra step that may have not taken!) I was very please how the whole process took place from start to finish and Brian and Chris took the extra steps to make the experience very pleasant. Thanks Guys
