Hands down the BEST tattoo & piercing shop north of Indy! Do not go anywhere else for your next piece of ink or piercing. The employees here are incredibly friendly, experienced and understanding. I went in about a week ago for a large leg piece, and Nick was stellar! I walked in without an appointment and he was so chill about it. He was able to depict exactly what I wanted in a tattoo, and his line work is OUTSTANDING. His hilarious sense of humor was one of the best parts of my experience as well. We had the friendliest of conversations during my 2 hour session :-) Not to mention, he charged me appropriately. I paid for a high quality tattoo, and thats what I got. Ill be going in at the end of this week to get it colored in, and I have no doubt that it will turn out beautiful. Additionally, Indiana Tattoo Company is very clean. Nick was diligent in his sanitation techniques, making sure to clean all instruments and furniture before and after tattooing. He used Dr. Bronners to lightly wash my tattoo when he was finished, and he used Saniderm to wrap my leg, which is definitely the way to go. 10/10 would recommend Indiana Tattoo Company

It is really a shame when people who are suppose to be mature adults go out and leave negative reviews and comments with nothing to back it with. If I was giving someone a negative review or comment you bet I would be able to back it up. I have known Jay for most of my life and he does the best work and I have seen a lot of it. He has tattooed my son, brother, father, nieces, nephew as well as many friends. I have never seen a bad tattoo from Jay or Neil. He has won trophys and awards for his work. When my son asked me how I felt about him getting a tattoo I told him he could only if Jay did it. Jay is very professional and his equipment as well as his shop are always clean. So for all you haters, stop CRYING like BABIES, GROW UP, stop LYING and go get an awesome tattoo from the best there is INDIANA TATTOO COMPANY, JAY and NEIL!!!

So many of my friends have gotten tattoos and piercings from Indiana Tattoo and they all have had to go and re-do them or get their tattoo covered up. I would never recommend this tattoo shop because all of the bad experiences. It is not fair, because when you get a tattoo you are permanently marking your body and why would you want to mark your body poorly. All of the lettering I have seen are uneven and just sloppy. Not taking their time on the tattoo. Also their customer service is horrible. When you are getting a tattoo or piercing done, it hurts obviously. You should be able to breathe and just take your time. Not have someone tell you to "stop". And them just be flat out rude. Sorry but thats not right. I DO NOT recommend for anyone to go here to get your tattoos or piercings done.

I was so excited to get a tattoo and even better they do walk ins!!! Jay was excellent and it being my first tattoo ever I wouldnt ask for a better experience! They asked what I wanted, gave them a picture to kinda show what I had in mind then Jay drew a design and asked if I liked it. It being my first tattoo they reassured me many times and made me feel less nervous for it! It really wasnt that bad and I will be recommending all of my friends here for their tattoos!! Best tattoo shop Ive ever been to! Also, dont go to Carmel tattoo ink, I got my belly pierced there and they charged me waaay over the price that they had on the website, which is why I came to Indiana tattoo company for my tattoo! Couldnt be happier and cannot wait to get more tattoos done here! thank you so much Jay!

So first things first any one who posts reviews or uses them as judgement on determining where to eat or who to hire as a baby sitter or in this case where to get a tattoo all should know that, 99% of the 1 star reviews were placed by people with sticks up their asses , now from what Ive read amongst all of these 1 star reviews these people are clearly confused.... I have gotten my last two tattoos and a touch up from this shop, line work 5/5 . color/blending 5/5 . shading 5/5 . customer service 5/5 . and patience with customers 5/5. Ive also seen there interactions with other customers. People who are getting there very first Tattoo all the way to people who are just as covered as i am this is seriously one of the better shops Ive been to and Ive been tattooed all over Indiana

I would recommend this place to get piercings. I just got my triple helix and my nose done all in the same day and the piercer (Neil) was very friendly with me. He made sure to explain everything that was going to happen with my triple and my nose including how to take excellent care of them. Note to others: please do not get this place mixed up with Carmel Ink on main street. Many people do not realize that they are different stores and just assume Indiana Tattoo Company is the same as the store on main street. I will never go to the store on main street again since Ive met those who work at Indiana Tattoo Company. UPDATE: I just got three tattoos from Jay recently and he did an amazing job on all three of them. 3/5 tattoos come from this shop.

Definitely ask for one of the owners to do your tattoo. Had some other dude do a piece on my leg and knee cap. Both came out ok but the after care instructions he said are to leave it wrapped in some ceran wrap kinda stuff. Guy didnt wrap it air tight on my leg and it immediately got infected the next day due to the moisture from the ink still on my leg. Also a big red flag is when he was doing my knee I told him to give me a minute bc it hurt like hell (Im not one to complain while getting tattoos) he didnt even let me take a breath. Over priced af for the whole ordeal, just go somewhere else and get the same quality for maybe half the price. Old dude even bragged about over charging when other ppl came in for getting work done.

I LOVE Jay. I have every tattoo by him, and I would never cheat on him. I followed him from Carmel Ink, and bring every friend who wants tattoos in to see him. Theres a bad rep going around about this place because Jay had a bad parting with Carmel Tattoo. This is slanderous, and basic BS. Jay is a straightforward artist, who wont cheat you. If the placement will age poorly, or if its too small, he will tell you it wont look good and then offer solutions. That is why I love him. That is why I trust him. Hes a good, honest artist, and a good honest man. I wont trust anyone with my skin, other than him and whomever he trusts. Loyal to ITC.

Haters always gonna Hate.... I would like to take the time and share my experience with Neil & Jay: I have over 15 years of combined ink artistry from both Neil and Jay. Every bit of work that is on my body was done only by these two Artists. I could not be more satisfied !!! My backpiece alone was a result of over 6 hrs of consultation and resketches - never once did I ever feel like I was being rushed, ignored or not getting a fair deal in any way.. The only thing that "sucks" is that THE ONLY 2 people that will ever ink for me are now 3 states away... Miss yall immensely down here Montgomery !!!! Yall Rock !!!!!
