Pawned a few items while in a tight spot. A younger guy helped me and was pleasant and reasonable. An older man, however (Im guessing the owner), came by while the transaction was going on and was EXTREMELY rude. The younger guy would only offer me about 15% of what an item (he checked online) was selling for in the same condition and I wasnt going to do it. He was about to go up a bit in price when the older guy came by and told me they didnt even want it and took it out of the deal. It seems the old guy is grumpy and stubborn, with a disdain for doing any business online. The only upside to doing business with Tomcats is their interest rate. It is much lower than Ace Pawn in Bloomington.

Stopped by yesterday to see if they had any wii remotes, I waited patiently for my turn, then asked if the one I saw marked $20 could be bought for 20 straight out, minus the taxes, the girl who waited on me very rudely gave me a smart answer that made me cringe, I explained that I wasnt asking them to not pay tax but to possibly get a $1.40 discount. Just dont know why people have to be hateful and rude, so easy just to say no, sorry we cant, I would have bought it anyway, but with that attitude, my hard earned money of any amount wont be left here.

This is a great place for used instruments, I have gone here twice for gear and am happy with both experiences! Theyre friendly and ready to answer any questions! I bought an acoustic guitar and a bass from them, and they both came with cases!

Owne/manager is just plain silly and very aggressive verbally. I used to go there years ago to buy tools but after about the third time I went and overheard him bullying people I got disgusted and quit going. Go to Ace, or use eBay.
