After listening to several reviews and hearing good things about Leathers Limited, I decided to shop for a pistol there. After small talk and look around the place, I purchased a military surplus pistol for about the going rate. I then go out and shoot said pistol and discover a mechanical problem with it. When I took it back to him, he took a look at the internals and told me the sear spring was missing and confirmed that it was broken. He then claimed he had no knowledge that it was broken when he sold it to me, and said that he wanted to make it right. He then proceeded to give conflicting information about a gunsmith he knew (recommending him once, and then when I lost his number and asked for it again a day later he says that he never sends business that guys way), and told me he could not order the parts for my pistol, which I discovered was blatantly false. After I discovered what the cost would be to fix the gun, and that he had misidentified the problem, he told me to instead send it into the manufacturer. While normally this is not a problem with a new firearm, the Czech military doesnt have warranty programs. He did not offer any compensation, monetary or otherwise, so I figure he does not need my business anymore. So much for "making it right". The owner is friendly enough, and appears to have amateurish knowledge of guns, like the kind you can read on the manufacturers label or find on a youtube review. He does not push sales on you, and the prices are a little above market average. Overall, the gun store is not bad, but not good either.

Gary of Leathers Limited is an expert on firearms and accessories, and a super nice guy. As another reviewer mentioned, going to a gun shop can sometimes be uncomfortable for women due to an atmosphere of bravado and machoism that can be prevalent in such establishments. Not so with Gary and LLF. Gary was extremely polite and respectful, and unlike other gun shops Ive been to, he didnt automatically assume I dont know my stuff just because Im female. Id never purchased a gun locally before, but now that Ive been to LLF, I wont be going anywhere else. For your next gun or accessory purchase, support local business and stop by and see Gary at Leathers Limited. Youll feel right at home.

Gary Butcher(the owner) is a very nice and while this is a very small place, they have all kinds of stuff packed in. On new production guns there is very good prices(10% over his cost if I remember right), and also there is a large selection of used guns especially long guns. Accessories are reasonably price, and Gary is a very pleasant person. Only issue is sometimes the place can get crowded and because its a one man shop purchasing a gun during a busy time can take a fair bit of time, but over all this is a great gun store.

Gary is a great guy with a great shop. My wife usually gets uncomfortable at gun shops because there is a lot of bravado and posturing. We walked in and found husbands and wives shopping for guns, ordering parts, or just shooting the breeze. Its a great place to buy a gun or just hang out. Best prices on firearms in town and a great selection. I wouldnt buy a gun anywhere else.

Ordered a Springfield 1911 from Gary, he quoted me a price I agreed with. The following day, he told me he found it at a lower price, and passed that lower price onto me. Thats an honest man, I believe many other gun shops would have held me to the higher price. Not many business owners like him around anymore, thanks Gary.

Gary is a great guy, very easy to talk to. Of course, his shop and selection arent particularly large, but considering he essentially runs the business by himself out of an addition to his house, I dont blame him at all. His prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the current "panic" climate.

The owner, Gary, is an amazingly cool fellow, who not only answers your questions but makes sure your concerns are addressed. Hes just as happy to do a trade in on your old gun as he is to sell you a new one. And to top it off, hes got the best pricing in the state.

I recently purchased from Gary and couldnt be happier. He didnt have exactly what I was looking for in stock but had it ordered and onsite in no time. He is fair and personable. He knows firearms and isnt a salesman. Ill be a customer until the store closes...
